I think I'm going to rate the Super7 one as #2 figure of the year. Sorry but I'm big Mondo Gecko fan and NECA's is keeping the #1 slot.





I think I may like GID Mutagen Man better than the original.

Good luck getting them to rectify it. NECA takes a lot of crap for their QC and CS (some of which is certainly deserved), but Super7's customer service is abysmal, which doesn't pair well with their poor quality control.

Not sure why you had such a bad impression of them
but i got a reply the very next day.



Because i'm a MISB collector, they can't just send me an
alternate head. Feel sad that i gotta send my Mondo Gecko away
not knowing if i'll ever see it again. And it'll probably be another year
before i get my replacement. Feelsbadman.

I had far far better response with S7 then neca. Neca’s solution was “return it to the store”.

Yeah, not the first time I've heard that either. Had it myself. NECA will only support anything purchased directly from their site. Everything else they refer to the store you purchased it from for resolution, well, refund because you know they usually won't have any to replace it with due to short stock. Usually.

Even then it's a crapshoot. Like with Tokka And Rahzar, they were telling people they could return it for a refund but they had no extras or replacements parts for any QC issues. That's just bunk

Super7's response on my Foot Soldiers (one of which was broken in the box and one of which I broke trying to move the elbow) was the same as on my Rocksteady that couldn't stand upright - which was essentially "tough luck." The Foot Soldiers were purchased directly through them, while Rocksteady came from BBTS. Contacting BBTS on Rocksteady, they initially told me I should try fixing the figure myself with small rubber bands or nail polish, but they at least did eventually replace the figure.

To be fair, my only experience with NECA's customer service is anecdotal, as I've never needed to contact them, but my experience with Super7 has been the worst I can recall.

My only gripe with Neca CS ever was they returned my Tokka & Rahzar
to their warehouse after shipment & after checking with UPS
i could only assume there was something wrong with the way they package it
hence it was returned to sender. Neca CS promised me they would issue another
tracking number after they resend it but they never did.
I eventually received my T&R late last year, almost a whole year after everyone had received theirs
so all is good again. I'm currently in good standing with Neca.
I just wonder why out of all the packages, it had to be T&R, the figures i wanted most.
Hope they don't screw up my turtles in disguise next.

S7 i'm disappointed. How could they miss such a big accessory?
If it was missing a hand i could understand. But if you ask me, neither is
worse or better than the other.

That was exactly my experience. I bought my wave 1 Foot from BBTS and it broke straight out of the package. They gave me a full refund no questions asked but didn't have any replacements so I contacted S7. I was basically told "...so?". I emailed back and forth with the dude for awhile and never got anything other than attitude and disinterest. It wasn't until I started blasting about it a bit on a few forums that they finally offered a replacement. Even that wasn't a very pleasant experience though as they made me jump through hoops to get it.

That was at the very beginning of Ultimates though, so I wonder if they beefed up their CS team and policies since then. Hopefully the guy I talked to isn't on the team anymore because he did nothing but harm their reputation in my eyes.

The first wave of TMNT Ultimates was sent to my billing address (three states away) instead of my shipping address - they originally told me to just drive there and pick it up.

From my old apartment.

That I had moved out of almost a year prior.

With new tenants I didn't know.

During lockdown.

It took almost two months to finally get them to agree to send me a replacement.

And I wasn't the only person where they shipped to billing instead of shipping.

I had an issue with BBTS where I cancelled an order shortly after I placed it, I needed to pay through my CC card, and it took payment through Paypal, there window on the website stated that I can cancel up to 1hr after I placed the order, and there wouldn't be any issues. The order went directly into "shipping", this was on the weekend. I emailed BBTS and was told that items can sometimes go directly to shipping status, and since it did, I cannot cancel. So once I receive the figures, I can request a refund but I'd have to pay a fee for the return shipping for them. I was furious, was basically told "it's not our fault". It wasn't until I threatened them with a chargeback, did they send me a return label.

I contacted them about my Shredder head. Some seriously bad paint. They did try to send me a replacement but it was the wrong Shredder head. I just kept it. Wasn't going to use the alternate anyway. I don't doubt they would have tried to make it right if I had kept going. Just wasn't worth the time for a head I wasn't going to use. I recommend contacting right away. Increase the chances they have one to give you.
