From what I've heard in whispers, this place finally broke Machias. Sad. Apparently she hasn't been around in a couple of years.

TMB actively hates this place. We're still friends on FB but we don't talk as much anymore because we have, shall we say, VERY different political and social views. But I wish him well, he was there for me during a few bad times so I hope he's doing alright in general. But he's never coming back either, he seems pretty well "done" with fandoms in general.

The problem is there's only like three people who'd be acceptable as Staff and none of them would ever want the hassle this place brings with it. And the rest are too "problematic".

I recognise the ThirdMarioBro username, but I don't believe I've ever interacted with him. Don't remember him being a mod at some point.

Well, that's understandable. The only people who'd be eager to become moderators are those who have never moderated an online community before. It's time consuming and makes one's participation less fun. I've been going on Internet forums in 2 decades now and I've always noticed that, once someone gets appointed as a mod, they start posting less and less.

All mods who haven't even logged on here in a year should be de-modded. It's obvious they're not coming back. And even if/when they do, they don't stick around for more than a few days before disappearing forever again.

It shows that this place is a relic of the ancient past when all the old guard are gone and the forums don't update with the times.

I remember a couple of pretty active mods around 2013-2014. One was named Venom and one whose name I forgot, but he had FW Raphael as his avatar. Haven't seen either user post in ages, so I'm guessing they no longer come to this place either?

Hey, I'm still around! Nowadays I mostly "prowl" the boards without posting much.

I will say, this place is better than the cesspool of facebook groups!!

I quite agree.

Facebook groups are a mess of 'wokeness and rudeness' and places like he-man .org arn't much better these days. this place, despite it's few issues, does still feel like a small community. and you don't feel very worried about posting much and insulting someone to the nines like other places go through about every hour like the replica prop forum. that place makes this looks like eden sometimes .

How did you determine this? They may have posted similar opinions but TurtleManiac seemed like a completely different person as far as I could tell. He makes custom TMNT toys & generally involved himself in turtle talk, whereas 1987 seemed as if here purely for political discourse.

It would be funny if we turn this into a "Survivor" or "Last man standing" kind of thing where people just keep getting banned right and left until there's only a few people left. People should get banned just for sneezing the wrong way.

Eventually this place will only have 2-3 people left and the drome will become the ultimate ghost town. I wonder who will survive the Hunger Games of the drome.

This site keeps auto swapping me back to the white background whenever I try and use default style. I’m on mobile. Has anyone experienced this and have a solution. I’ve come to severely hate this view for some strange reason. Feels wrong.
