Were people in America that aware of kimchi back in the 80's and 90's?

Seems like people here completely forgot about this mini, the issue has been out for over a week and the only comment we have here is me asking about fermented cabbage. I sure wonder why nobody cares...
Anyway, I finally got to reading it. It's more or less what I expected, another plot one could typically expect from a cartoon in the 80's, not really bad but not much to get excited over either. I will note however that for a second time in a row, the non-FW element of TCRI appears, it's even represented by the same scientist from the previous issue. What's more interesting is that the guy mentions that TCRI has had problems with "Unintended genetic restructures" and that it has happened so often that they've become experts at developing cures for them, TCRI even has what looks like ooze canisters in this... Are they... Retconning the Utroms (or at least TCRI's creation of the ooze) into the Fred Wolf continuity? Is this mini going to end with Splinter getting cured or something? |

I do wonder where the series might go with TCRI being a thing… utroms being a thing would splinter the alt timelines even further given the 2k12 attempt to retcon Krang’s origin. But if it ends at issue 4, I guess the plot goes nowhere.

I'm a bit late to the party but I will be picking up a copy soon. I bought one offline but then they closed down and refunded me the money. It's cool that got my money back, but I wanted the comic, LOL. I'll try again on payday.

Finally got to read it. Pretty fun. Got Casey down to a tee. Loved how April threw back his own logic right back in his face. Also liked the reference of the giant dandelions outside of the TCRI building.
