I don't think the weekend strips are anything crucial--
Sayeth Dan Berger: "The only mail the strip got was fan art, which is why we used it on the weekends. It was very weird thing to do (in my opinion), but it generated a lot of mail, which kept the newspaper editors interested in the strip a bit longer than they may have been otherwise."

At its peak, there were 250 newspapers running the TMNT strip, but for the tail end of the run it only appeared in 20. Berger doesn't know which newspapers carried the strip since Creators Syndicate was in charge of that aspect so I'm looking for someone who can point me in the right direction-- Does anyone know of specific newspapers that syndicated the TMNT comic strip, particularly for the years 1995-1996?

I know that none of the Tennessee papers I read ever carried them (that rules out The Tennessean). I had no idea there was a TMNT newspaper comic until I saw them posted on the NT.com website over a decade ago.

I would be interested to know some of the newspapers. It might be the key to finding the later strips.
