They know they can sell you items twice. It's NECA, that's their MO for the most part. And they also know the Mirage stuff will be more requested and also the people who want that stuff pretty much will do whatever to get it. So dupe you into buying the wrong colors first, give you the better colors later. It's what they did with the video game crap originally.

They knew Renet was supposed to be blue, so they sold you a red one, then put the blue one behind a goofy paywall digital pyramid scheme.

If you're willing to jump through additional hoops for certain things, NECA is definitely gonna put them there.

Then they'll blame you later for not supporting the line if one of these things fail, or try to scare you into buying variants you don't want by saying if you want the good versions you'd better make sure sales are good with the first releases.

But no one really calls them out because they're the "fan friendly" company.

Curious what happened to everyone's orders.
Walmart, that same day, replaced the main picture with a generic NECA logo, and now if I go to the link from my saved list, I get "Uh-oh" as if the item no longer exists.
So it seems like they weren't supposed to reveal it or make it available yet or something and NECA or somebody put the smack down...

I noticed that also. It's somewhat reminiscent of the April/Casey Farm two-pack scenario. I'm just waiting for them to come back and cancel all the orders again for whatever reason. I hope that's not the case but it IS Walmart.

That is one beefy figure. I'm curious to see how well it and the turtles articulate. They're so dense and boxy, it's hard to imagine them having much ROM. They certainly look great though.

Has there been any word on price for ol Zog? That much plastic, I'd think he would be more of a deluxe pricepoint.

No price point, but Zog and Shiva Shredder were said to be deluxe figures in SpeekyGeeky's interview with Trevor that came out last night.

So glad I got my Claw shredder when I did. Think they'll get scarce or more expensive once the clones come out.

I didn't read that much of the original comics - but I love this line (missing loads of them though

). It's what started my modern collecting back in 2011 when I join this forum.

Shooo. Think I'm out at that price. I was never going to go in for much of the comic stuff anyway but I've always had a soft spot for the orange dinosaur. I still might cave if I run across it in person.

Thanks for the info! Are the mirage figs only available at target or will they be at Walmart too? I know BBTS will have them also but I think they are a little more expensive. Do you know how much target was selling Shiva for?
