In hindsight I should have predicted the Null Turtles' identities from the clues.

Ah well I don't get paid for this.

So does Yaguaro have anything to do with Jagwar this time around or is it just a coincidence that two jaguar themed deities exist in this book?

They're related in Archie, father and son IIRC. Someone chime in if I'm remembering it wrong. Could be just a shoutout to that comic, much like how Null and NTD were never siblings.

Yeah, that's why I'm asking. Jagwar's IDW origin is seemingly completely different from the Archie origin, but Yaguaro's only purpose in Archie was to be Jagwar's father and he can't really be in IDW, which is why I'm curious.

The "four winds" seem to correspond with the four animal styles of Kung Fu -what is the idea behind it?

And Noi Tai Dar means "radiation" the other way around! But why this is so I don't have a clue - any of you?

What the hell, it DOES spell "radiation" backwards. Dang it, Steve Murphy! Though I guess in hindsight it was pretty subtle given that I never noticed until now. But dang it, Steve Murphy!

Because in Archie TMNT, Chien Khan (seriously, can we please get this guy in IDW already?!) was going to use a nuclear reactor to summon him IIRC and that entire arc touched on the bombing of Hiroshima.

All these Archie Adventure characters, especially the obscure ones, are so weird. It's like they don't even feel like TMNT characters. So to see them returning in a new series 25 years later is surreal.

Like, sometimes I forget these characters debuted in the 90's.

it wouldn't surprise me if the 4 become a mixture of the mutant turtles and twisted personifications of the 4 archie horsemen.

You know what else would be a cool surprise, Tom? Bringing Chien Khan into the IDW mix!

He works well as both a street level and mystical antagonist, what with his white ninjas and his rituals and whatnot. Plus he's a mutant dog, which could tie into both Mutant Town and the recent mystical techniques the Turtles learned. Heck, Archie Khan wanted to harness the power of the Warrior Dragon, so maybe IDW Khan could be gunning for Saki? So many possible angles to explore.

Methinks you hit the nail on the head. We're lucky they're not all covered in pouches.
