Check out this first clip from the movie.

Shuri drives a car using some sort of VR technology, and Black Panther's suit getting hit by bullets, which charges the suit with kinetic energy.

The last MCU film I watched was Civil War. Have they managed to start making these stand alones more, well, stand alone rather than forcing hints about the next five movies in every other scene?

The prospect of that happening is the only major gripe I have about potentially going and seeing this next month.

I love that these movies hints about the other stuff coming out, its a shared universe after all, and that's what I love about these movies.

The lady's accent sounds a bit funny, but that's one neat clip. It does make me wonder, just how fantastic will Wakanda's advanced technology be?

Yeah, I love it too as long as it's done well

Of the films that have come out since Civil War (Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, & Thor: Ragnarok) most have had relatively little connective tissue linking them to the larger MCU. Sure they reference things that have happened in other films in passing, but it's not like there are shots of Thanos menacingly sitting in a chair interspersed throughout.

its 100% on RT right now those anti marvel twitter DCEU/Snyder fans are gonna be triggered.

Damn marvel paying those critics even though WB owns a share of RT

Yeah, you know they and others are gonna hate on this film super hard. Did you see that there was a group created on Facebook to try and purposefully tank the film's ratings? Idiots

Here's a description of the two after-credits scenes...

Nothing earth-shattering...

WAKANDA!!!

Black Panther is 98% on rottentomatoes and it's heading toward massive $170 million-plus opening.

Phew, what an amazing ride. Just love everything about it.
I'm pretty surprised that Lupita Nyong'o and Daniel Kaluuya were in the film, good thing I skip the trailers (only seen the first one but it's been so long).

"You are a good man, with a good heart. And it’s hard for a good man to be a king."

4/5 stars.

Sounds like the best Marvel movie since Civil War, which was the best Marvel movie since The Winter Soldier.

Granted Dr. Strange was pretty good too, but this looks like it will raise the bar.

So have been half of the Marvel credit scenes... at this point, I think I'm with James Mangold on end credit scenes.

One of the better Marvel movies. Really enjoyed it, and fairly standalone too.

Michael B Jordan kills it here. You'll actually end up rooting for him

Boy were those post-credit scenes boring though.

That pretty sad Only if people were this passionate about voting we might have a respectable turn out rate for voting.

I am sure this movie will be a let down/ over-rated like a lot of other marvel movies. Don't get me wrong this movie looks great, but I don't think it is as good as people are saying.

Are you drunk??? JK
I think Captain America Civil War is the worse movie Marvel has put out. The movie is inconsistent in terms of story telling. The villain was horrible and forgettable, the tremendous build up fell flat as a pancake..... I can go on and on, but that movie is hot trash..... It was pretty much Marvel version of Batman v Superman essentially they wanted to cash in on the heroes who would be in the movie, but could not produce a competent script that would make the fighting and story fell natural instead of forced and fake.

Yup, sure do disagree with that guy.

I like them for personal reasons, as well as practical.
I like the excuse they give for folks to stay in the theater and discuss what they just saw, so they're not standing outside in the lobby spoiling it for people who haven't seen it yet.

Also, I kind of dig reading the credits.

When the scenes are of import, I appreciate them. But when they're little jokes like the Captain America PSA in Homecoming, or Howard the freaking Duck in Guardians of the Galaxy, then it feels like a waste of time. I could already be across the street chowing down on onion rings arguing over the script's nuances with my gang.

And I do always like trying to find my own name in the credits. Cylons doesn't pop up all that often...

I felt more cheated by the Thor cameo in Strange than I did Howard or Cap's PSA.

I wouldn't go so far as to say "cheated"... the film doesn't OWE me a bonus scene. But my time wasted comparatively? Yeah.

And the Thor bit is a lot less important or foreboding than Mordo magic-kicking a guy back to physical therapy.

I guess if it's sequel bait or a fun moment of character, then it works for me. Teenager Groot works for me. Stan Lee talking to giant blue bobble heads does NOT work for me.

See, those guys work for me because they expand the world.
I wasn't expecting to see The Watchers.

Though, every time Lee takes to the screen I feel more and more like he's being exploited.
