It's interesting how the blowback seemed to actually work. Marvel really stopped pushing Brie. Sure, she's not going away, but she's certainly not the new Iron Man, as it seemed to be implied (although maybe I'm misremembering).

There's been rumors for practically everyone but Brie to show up in Dr Strange 2. Seems no one really cares.

Just like most leftist virtue signaling over the last few years they ran their mouths and when it failed they did everything possible to make it look successful and now they can't just wash their hands of her because they were so loud about their BS in the past.

Everything is about "bombastic virtue signaling" and when it fails it's about the "slow quiet and drawn out release" so as not to appear failed. Look at every single instance of this. That's how it is. It's all a leftist lie. And it works - because the sheeple who get on board with it in the first place also fall for the quiet fade-out.

I agree, it's odd. Even if we believe report of Disney/Marvel buying out SOME seats in SOME places (I remain skeptical), it made over a billion dollars from less than a 200 million dollar budget. That's really good.

But yeah, it's hard to deny Brie is being sidelined after being touted as the next great thing, the most powerful MCU character ever and the leader of Phase 4 and onward. Since then they've been chipping away at that. She's no longer touted as the most powerful MCU character, now Feige says that's Scarlet Witch. Captain Marvel 2 quietly becomes The Marvels, relegating her to a co-star in her own franchise.

I think it really is just Feige actually having ears and eyes. Yeah, Captain Marvel did decent money... but it cost them credibility with basically more than half their audience. Nobody likes Brie Larson, not even her co-stars. And every time she opened her mouth to talk about how her stuff isn't for white men... as far as most people are concerned she is speaking for Marvel Studios, and Feige probably wasn't too keen about that.

For all the stuff about Feige being some wokester, I don't buy it. He just knows how to play the game. We didn't get one iota of woke sh** in the MCU until Marvel Studios needlessly sold themselves to Disney... then it started to creep in.

They did stuff her into the end credits scene of Eternals. Or was that Shang Chi? I don't even remember anymore. Maybe that was a "tester" to see if anyone cared to see her back.
