Well, Dirty Blond, I don't know. It looked like the Adam West Batman meets the Linda Carter Wonder Woman meets the original movie turtles. It looked cheesey. Venus looked like she ruined the show. If they bring her back for this new series (now that Laird is out of the project), they better conjure up a good story for her.
Plus, I'm not sure if April and Casey were on this series. There weren't any action figures of him. |

Oh god. Don't tell me this is a sign that the new 2k12 series is going to flop just like this one. They better introduce Casey by the time the second season comes out. In fact, there better be a second season for this show!

Neither April nor Casey were in Next Mutation.
Other than the Turtles and Splinter, the only other old character was Shredder, who was only in 3 episodes. Next Mutation pretty much used their own characters. |

I really wish this had had a proper DVD release state side. I think it suffered a lot because of the lack of established characters. They did try to do their own thing and I think it hurt them. That and it tried to be a sequel to what came before, but what part is hard to tell. There really wasn't any real established background going in and none really set up.

I'll echo everyone that says it's worth watching and that it's not as bad as everyone says. But it's still pretty damn bad. When I was watching it for the first time earlier this year, I could only watch an episode or 2 at a time. Anymore than that and I figured my brain would implode.
