One of the most loved chapters in MHA for sure. I get that some people complain that it's too short *vigalante Deku* (I kinda do too) but it's wrapped nicely especially when he arrives back to school. Ururaka really saves Deku there and has a great growth of character. I can't wait to have this season on bluray.

Like, this is his third unscheduled break. In the near future, there will likely be more unscheduled breaks.
I'm worried about his wellbeing. I hope it's not too serious. Spoiler:

I hope for as many boob shots as possible going forward. Hopefully the anime does a filler ep at some point where all the girls spend the whole time in the hot springs or something. And mix the teachers in with the students for hilarity.

I … don't think there'll be any filler episodes.
The show is nearing its final stretch. |

Good Episode I loved Uraraka speech to get the Crowd to allow Deku to stay at UA. That actually got to me when Deku broke down crying during it.
Nice to have an episode with no fighting in it for a change.

… and Horikoshi continues to fumble the writing of his female characters.
Honestly, I'm impressed. |

I mean don't all popular anime continue to cover the manga until the series ends? The only one I know of that didn't was Bleach which the anime got canceled in 2014 and only just recently did they bring it back to finish adapting the series.

Gokusen and Fruits Basket also come to mind. Not sure about the former, but the latter seemed popular at the time. It ended after the first major arc since the manga was still ongoing. They also changed something in the anime that wasn't in the manga, but given that the manga wasn't there yet, you couldn't fault them. The revelation regarding the head of the Sohma family wasn't revealed until much later in the manga. Fruits Basket was rebooted in like 2020 I think as it was able to cover the entire manga. Gokusen as well as Kuroshitsuji just went off on anime original paths. The latter is still going manga wise whereas the former had a lot of live-action adaptations in the form of J-dramas and movies. The anime was never rebooted. Would’ve been nice to see it continued with an anime with a proper adaptation since the manga ended years ago. Still love the manga series. Series of the jousei genre are so underrated in the West. It’s all about those shounen series. Kuroshitsuji, since it doesn't do weekly releases and is a series that releases chapters monthly, the anime had to go off on its own tangent. It was faithful to the manga up until the arc with the Indian prince dude showing up, from what I remember. Everything after that was anime-original including the second season with the added in characters of another earl by the name of Aloise and his butler, Claude (interesting seiyuu he had). The OAVs they've released though actually are more closely adapted from the manga as well as the theatrical films covering parts of the manga. Last edited by ssjup81; 04-09-2023 at 10:19 AM. Horikoshi-san has just posted a new sketch.
Spoiler:
It isn't sexualized, thankfully. |

On Twitter, people are disputing/defending Bakugou's character development. ( Yet again …, )
It's getting increasingly tedious. How I wish that the fandom would just wait for the manga's conclusion … ------- Recently, people have been complaining about Dabi/Touya. It's frustrating; the drama never ends … |

You mean when he finally apologized for bullying Deku or did more stuff happen?

Mostly, thousands of individuals are saying that Bakugou either didn't develop enough, or didn't actually progress at all. Specifically, they're mainly concerned with his remarkable lack of a narrative counterpart/"villain", his notable absence in certain story arcs, and his ostensible scarceness of plot importance.
It's somewhat frustrating, as I partially agree with several of their complaints. ( In terms of his portrayal, I can consider why they have several points of contention. ) I just don't agree with their overall synopsis, however. I believe that Bakugou has had plenty of coherent, motivable development. It's … just not noticeable to many readers/viewers, unfortunately. Last edited by Papenbrook; 05-16-2023 at 12:24 PM. |

Ehh—I think that comparing Bakugou to Vegeta is a bit … extreme.
Bakugou hasn't killed/murdered anyone. |
