Man, I love how to threw in a reference to the boxer robots from the Turtles in Time video game!

Yes. One thing that looks weird on page 1 is how when Leo says "I mean, look at all this stuff!" you follow the exclamation mark with three ellipses periods. Just pick one form of punctuation or the other. The exclamation mark isn't totally clear on its own, and the periods make it very confusing to read.

got it. yeah, he was meant to say everything on the very first page. unfortunately it spilled onto page 2.
I realised that I didn't leave enough space for the text... that's the reason for the dots. Bad planning.

Will you email me back about page 2? I have everting saced as PSDs these days so I don't have to go in and manually cut out everything and retype.

I put it in there to see if anyone would get it , well done. As far as I know Turtles in Time (arcade only) is the only time he appears.

So the robot he is tinkering with is from Turtles In Time?

Any chance we could get a solicit of the issue like the traditional press release for every comic issue?

Excellent! I was wondering though, what is it Don's working on? Is it Metalhead's cousin?
Sorry about not responding sonner.

Its nothing to do with metal head, although he will be making an appearance later in this comic.

I've called it an Anti Turtle Mine and it's kind of like a naval mine.

Its basically a weapon designed by krang that homes in on mutants (namely the Turtles) and zapps them.

Donatella has pinched it with all of the other stuff after the Technodrome was destroyed and now he's planning to re-configure it so it can be used against the Foot.

The rest of the story is about how it goes wrong and the consequences of those actions.

Turncoat was in the 80s TMNT universe but I still consider it to be quite dark and serious. Even though this is a sequel of sorts (well it continues straight after Turncoat) I'm going for a much more lighter and even zany tone this this time round. Hope it works out.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I'm really enjoying Turtle Turncoat so far, even though I have no prior experience with the 80's Turtles. I'm excited to finish it and read your other comics.

The comic is turning out great Tony Day! My anticipation is building to see how all of this technology and equipment from the destroyed Technodrome will be used in this comic!

As for wanting a lighter tone, is it a tone you're usually comfortable with or enjoying doing? Or did you decide on that to even out the "darkness" from Turtle Turncoat?

Thanks CaliperCar. Hope you enjoy it. You can watch the first 5 eps of the original series on YouTube. My fave version of Turtles. I recommend it

Hi Refractive Reflections. I actually find a lighter tone easier to get into most of the time plus I'd thought id try something different. Getting an interesting story is important of course. Only time will tell if ive pulled that off. Still, thanks for the input. I hope u enjoy the upcoming pages.

Now to add a little extra. I got an email recently asking how I do my comic. Whats the process, what software do I use etc.

Well, while I drawing Page 3 I decided to film it at the same time. Ive edited together a 10 minute YouTube video of me creating a page. It should show clearly (i hope) every step.

I've been asked this by a number of people over the years so hopefully this will be some use to them. Please feel free to ask me about any step that doesnt seem clear.

Here's the link:

It was a treat seeing the video Tony! For me, it gives a new level of appreciation for your outstanding work, especially upon noticing all of the details, which are tedious for sure, but in doing so, bring a new dimension of "life" into it! I think in creative entertainment (i.e. artwork, writing, film making, making music, creating models) the audience doesn't fully grasp the immense amount of work and time behind in making such a polished product for a few seconds to minutes of results for the audience.

Your artistic talent really shines through when you take seemingly simple tools (paper, penciling, ink, photoshopping) and transform it into a product that transcends beyond the sum of its parts. Thank you for allowing us to see the "magic" behind your work. It's inspiring and rejuvenating to witness people's detailed effort and passion into constructively creating something, and no doubt you have done that with me. ...But I think I already kind of hinted at that with my earlier posts, when you were finishing Turtle Turncoat.

Aw, man, sewer fishing has to be among the grossest concepts ever. Even if you caught something living... would you really want to eat it?

It was hilarious when Raphael then said, "What did I expect?" ...Exactly Raphael what were you expecting?

It showed a little bit of the humor from OT Raphael here Tony.

Heh! Love that Raphael sarcasm! The lettered belt buckle over the black costume may take me a while to get used to.

Also, check out April's new sporty threads!

Typo alert: "Just" instead of "juts" (for a second, I thought that might be a part of British vernacular!)

Grammar police: I don't think the question mark makes sense in the context that Raphael uses it; maybe replace it with an exclamation mark! Consider using a few more commas on this page instead of periods around dependent clauses or casual interjunctions.

For example:
"So, you coming or what, dude?"
"Hi, April. Oh, you know, the usual."
