Awesome, I love the animation in that short!

Hopefully they can get around to making a full series if these shorts turn out to be really good (which I'm sure they will be). I have always been a sucker for Sonic shows.

Too bad the animation doesn't look as good as the pre-release cinemas they released to promote the game, it's decent. Since they're shorts I'm guessing they won't be very long at all, I'm guessing all 5 shorts will be around 5 mins at the most so about a 25 minute video when it's all said and done.

edit: ok apparently they're from the same studio, they seemed different animated to me. Also they're supposed to be shorts like the ones made for the game so I wouldn't expect too much even if they'll be cool. They're still like "extras" for the game rather than a real animated series.

Sonic Boom? Isn't it like really good?

I know the games were bad and the character designs crappy, I've got no interest in watching it and I watch almost any weird adaptation of things I like. However the few that watch it say it's genuinely good and all the screen caps and youtube videos about the show are hilarious.

Sonic Boom is good. Sonamy compilation video alone reaches over 1 million views on YouTube and it was posted just 4 months ago. That's incredible.

I love Sonic more than any other franchise but even Sonic Boom is just ok for me. I only watch it if it happens to be on.

Some jokes are really good but it’s a “slice of life” show. I wish it were action. Even based on the actual game would have been interesting. I have it and played it. There’s things they could have built on.

The games range from trash (Wii U) to okay (3DS), but the cartoon's great. I never knew I wanted a cartoon about Sonic, his friends and Eggman f***ing around for fifteen minutes at a time, but here we are. Sonic and Eggman are the best in particular. Half the time they feel like punch clock nemesis.

It was mentioned at the SXSW panel that the animation isn't finished yet, so it's going to look a lot better in the final release.

I'll need to check this out. Looks fun. I also hope that Sonic Boom comes back. I love that series. It's pretty funny with it's self-aware humor and I love it when Boom takes shots at the petty Sonic fans.

That was ok. It's just a 2 minute and 30 second short so there's not much to say about it, but it had some fun Looney Tunes-esque humor.
