Zoe loves bein' The Dog. That's why she got a heart-shaped face. She pwecious.

Also, This:

Kevin Nash is my Spirit Animal but even HE hated this sh*t. Not too long after playing Super-Shredder, one would have to wonder if this was a Forward or Backward career move. I'd say Mostly Lateral.

In Nash's own words, "You don't take a 7-foot badass who gets pussy and stick him in a green cone."

"You Did It. The Crazy Son of a Bitch, You Did It" I am talking about Todd Mcfarlane. I just watched a review of the Page Punchers Constantine review and he included a cigarette smoking hand for John. All I have ever wanted was a John figure who could smoke. I bought a cigarette accessory pack off of ebay just for him.

So long "Covid length" hair... finally went and did it. Always feel a little bad about cutting it off and this is the longest it has ever been, but it became such a pain in the ass to deal with for too long now. Was down to the top of my rear and now... chopped off to collar bone length.

Yeah, I figured you wouldn't like that news. lol I did keep the cut off length, does that count?

It'll be back... but I won't be going for that much length again, far too much trouble. That'll just be a pandemic one-off for this lifetime.

One of those "find a $50 gift card you forgot about" kind of days.

7/26 -- Certain family members chucked a bunch of food from a dead freezer into one of our outdoor garbage cans, and I think not security them tightly in a trash bag, which in turn created a horrific trash can full of large maggots. (This part is a grind. A nasty one. )

The up side... After getting home I sat in the car for a few watching a group of young sparrows right by my car. Most of them still with a little baby fluff and fluttering their wings still over food, despite being old enough now to feed themselves.

The trash can had once been used to catch and hold rain water to partly fill our long gone goldfish pond, so nowadays it's just a regular trash can, but it still has a small plastic tube sticking out one side at the bottom.

The young sparrows apparently noticed and have decided the tube is a dispenser of tasty maggots and fighting over who gets a turn to try to jam their beak in there to try to snag one. Well, it's gross, but I guess if that group of youngsters are learning to find a meal on their own and it benefited them they're welcome to it. Never took them to be the smartest species, but clever of them to figure that out.

7/31 -- Yay, got a new socket installed and fixed my lamp. Thank goodness it's easy to do, never messed with anything electrical before.

Well, happy the last fews days as I'd taken a trip to the coast.
What made me happy today was I came home to find the figurine I bought for myself had arrived. I justifued it as a birthday present but I don't really care about that so might get it out the box early.

Good to be home.

Sometimes it's just the small stuff, huh? Like pulling into a parking space then noticing there is a Wrangler of the same color (don't see my dark blue all that often these days) parked a ways away...so you go out of your way to go park next to them instead, even though it's a farther walk in the heat, because it's a thing people do, and wishing I could have seen their face then they went around to their driver side only to be met with a previous model of the same color.

I've prob been parked in groups of 3 at most...maybe 4 once. Doubt there are too many other vehicles this is done with... Maybe motorcycles are niche enough?

Zoe is part German Shepherd and part Labrador, that we're aware of. She may also have some Husky in her but we're not sure, we think so though because of her verbal skills and her insanely loud bark.

Based on various behaviors, she's apparently also part Moose, Kangaroo, and Cat. She's about four feet long from the tip of her nose to the end of her tail, and when she stands on her hind legs she's about 5 feet tall or a hair over. She's the most loving and excitable dog ever and she loves to sleep in bed with us.

I've had a bunch of incredible pets but Zoe is next-level.

She loves to squeeze. Not sure why, but she loves tight spaces.

She also loves to play with giant branches. That's her favorite thing.

I once saw a video of her ripping a basketball to shreds. We have to get her special indestructible balls to play with. Thankfully she only bites or chews on things outdoors. Inside she's so docile you can forget she's even around sometimes. Outside she's a goddamn lunatic.

Very, very precious.

What made me happy from yesterday to today (which I just returned from a few minutes ago) was my trip down to LA, to Culver City, to watch Wheel Of Fortune in person, aside from having to wear the masks indoors, it was well worth it, and beforehand, I stopped over in Hollywood and checked out almost the entire Hollywood Walk of Fame, took some pictures of some of my favorite ones.

Nephew's little drama group had been invited a while ago to sing the anthem at the local minor league baseball stadium, which was this evening so my sister had been able to get us all tickets in some group discount. Right behind home plate even. Local team beat the team out of Brooklyn 7 to 1 and fireworks afterward, so that was fun.

8/12 -- Found last night that Live PD is back and with the same hosts under a new name, On Patrol: Live on the Reelz channel. (Wasn't even familiar with Reelz, but I guess if they want to bring that show back, that works for me!)

That's like her third or fourth giant branch since we got her. That one's at least an 8-footer, could be 10, I'm not sure. They fall off any of the numerous trees out back and she plays with 'em until they break into numerous smaller branches, which she then breaks into "regular" sticks... which she can't really be bothered with because she only cares about the big stuff. Like she'll play with a stick but if she sees a big branch she'll immediately be like "Nah, f*ck this" and go after the bigger one.

Sometimes she'll be out there by herself and I'll look out the window and see her dragging that thing around the yard, swinging it around like she's dancing with it. She's crazy.

She also recently ripped the cover off of a baseball but she's being a lot more careful with the other two. We keep meaning to get her a basketball she can rip in half but we forget.

She does this weird thing where after she poops, she does a "victory lap" or two around the yard at almost a full gallop. I mean, I think we've all had that feeling once in a while but it's funny to see her actually do that. If you're out there watching her do this, she pretends that she's gonna run you over at full-speed and then cuts slightly to the side at the last second. It's quite a sight, as she's incredibly fast. Also a bit nerve-wracking, as she's gigantic. But it's cute. She'd never actually hurt anyone on purpose. But she's definitely a bit imposing when she's charging straight at you.

I wish I knew her as a puppy, I bet she was amazing. She's so huge I can't even imagine her being tiny. She definitely still acts like a puppy but I'm sad I didn't meet her until she was 5. Ah well.
