Unless you can zoom in - so far I haven't figured out how to, if possible - the new map isn't incredibly more helpful to me either. But it's not a big deal, it's not an overwhelmingly large map or anything and it's easy enough to find the way around, I just plain don't much care for "Metroidvania" games in general. I do like that they aimed a bit higher than the previous two Game Boy games, though, which were fine for what they were but incredibly simplistic. As I said, I haven't played enough of it to have a real opinion yet.

You can't zoom in freely on those guides for some reason, but you can move through each part of it and focus on one area and it zooms in itself on each "part." I was on PS5 so you just move the control stick or whatever the button prompt is.
The cool thing about the third game is each Turtle has a unique ability. Mike has the helicopter twirl with the nunchucks to let you jump over gaps or spikes. Leo lets you drill into the ground, Don lets you climb walls, and Raph turns into his shell and you can go under small gaps that look like you have to crawl into. Also nice to have some unique bosses like Scratch and Scale Tail who aren't in any of the other games. Konami really mined the Playmates toy catalog for this one, I like how they tried to include as many unique bosses over their games as possible. |

Maybe publicity stunts like this is why it took the Turtles so long to show up on a Sega console:

Here's my Konami.com exclusive enamel pin that shipped free with a Steam key purchase last month. It ain't much but it's nice for what it is.
Has a little bit of weight to it an small enough to store easily inside my CC Limited Edition Switch box. Feels very Loot Crate-ish: Spoiler:

It says 25% off the Cowabunga Collection in the Playstation Store now, FYI.

Now this raises conflict. On one side, I want the physical copy in case it ever gets pulled off the store or something, but on the other side... 25% off......

Steam version Still 20% off on HumbleBundle IF you are a monthly subscriber. Plus, you get access to fan mods with that route.

But better to have this sort of licensing unicorn in your library for your next PC, to your original point of delist prep.

In addition to other extras and tweaks, the first patch has also added online play to TMNT IV! (Manhattan Project will also receive it in a future update.)

The 3 Gameboy games also got Game Boy Color tints!
I just replayed the first game in color (the characters are red and background blue/green like they were on Gameboy Color), man this brings back memories. The 3 Gameboy games getting Game Boy Color pallettes is huge. |

And it may be a small thing, but they also updated the Switch icon to be the game's logo instead of that art from the opening animation. Looks much better, and fits the vibe of the game.
Played a few levels of Turtles in Time SNES online with some random people last night too. What a fun collection! I am so glad this exists and that Digital Eclipse was behind this. I had been asking for something like this for years it seemed, and I'm beyond thrilled it came into fruition. Damn good year for TMNT games.

That has to be an April Fool's joke. Those LCD games wouldn't even be worth playing on a big screen.

I was very happy to see someone even uploaded some excellent quality gameplay on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htzWrMw7I5g (If you try to watch it with sound on, make sure your volume isn't up too high or the game sounds may not be pleasant to the ears!) An enhanced mode like what Nintendo did with their Game & Watch Gallery collections could be very cool!

It is my fave classic TMNT beat 'em up, even over Turtles in Time. Curious about that bonus art too! EDIT: This seems to be a good list of in-game change histories: https://www.perfectly-nintendo.com/t...tware-updates/ https://store.steampowered.com/news/...61257649482682 Hooray for digital preservation of the new Eastman art!
