The two figures I'd been waiting on showed up.
The History of the DCU Plasticman and Villains line Deathstroke are pretty stellar. Easily making up for the fact that I've gone so long without figures of these two characters. |

Picked up Series 2 of DC Collectibles Arkham Origins figures... pics on Instagram. Absolutely loving wave 2 but passed on Killer Croc as I think it could've been much better. Maybe I'll change my mind in time.
Also picked up Marvel Select 'The Lizard'... the classic version this time.

Piked up a VERY gently used Hot Toys War Machine from the Iron Man 2 line. So awesome. I really wasn't expecting to like it so much. It's awesome.

LMFAO!!! Ah, forbidden romance... He a suit designed to protect the innocent and he a suit to protect a blobby pink mass bent on inter-dimensional domination. Such a classic love story! I can't wait for the movie!

I've got Flashback 1 and 2... I've only ever seen the 3 once, and that was for $80. Or maybe it was $60... either way, more than I wanted to spend. I actually have never even seen the 4.

Picked up a Wolverine figure for ten bucks yesterday. The articulation isn't that good (he can only move his arms and legs) but it's nice for display purposes.

Drat. They didn't have any. Just had a SNES/NES combo for $70. How much was the Flashback 4 on clearance for?
What size/line?

It's from the Titan Heroes line and it's around 12'' I think.

Yeah they've been on shelves for a few months, not just Wolverine but Cap and a few other characters. Not really my thing, but if you want a 12" figure it's an option.
Just really feel like 6" figures are the sweet spot. Best balance of articulation and detail for the price. Here is Astonishing Wolverine I got some years back: and my most current Wolverine I got a few months ago from the Puck Build-A-Figure series. I think I prefer my Astonishing Wolverine: Of course these are 6" scale but you get a lot of posability and they are in scale with tons of other figures on the market. Agreed, the 'astonishing' figure is definitely one of the best... Although I like them, I find several of the new Legends look like repaints and reused body molds. In that, it's more noticeable. They lack that original quality. The 'astonishing' figure is painted well and the costume looks like a costume and not just a painted-over body mold.
More pick-ups on Instagram... I caved and picked up croc, as it was a steal of a price. Added a few Marvel Legends as well, with more on the way. Gotta say, I'm really enjoying collecting the older Marvel Legends.. I'm finding several locally at prices much lower than eBay. I appreciate the love and quality that went into some of them. Is it wrong that I feel Toybiz did a much better job? At least in regards to some figures... not to mention the BAF's, the comic books, the stands, etc. Hopefully you'll understand my newfound love as I didn't collect these originally.

Wait, is Mara Jade from the 6 inch line? When did that happen?
How much did that Croc run you, Digital Ghost? I've been eyeing it, as I need a Croc to go with my DC line. Aside from the Deathstroke, I just ordered a DC Direct Brightest Day Deadman and a DC Direct Animal Man. After reading the Animal Man omnibus I fell in love with the character. |

But $15 beats the marked-up $25-29.99 I've been seeing elsewhere.

Agreed. I'd prefer the Arkham Asylum version, but you take what you can get. Same with the Bane figure. I'd have loved the Arkham Asylum Bane, but with the insane prices, I settled for the Arkham Origins. Not as buff or gruff, but decent enough.
I just do not like the face on that origins Croc. |

I saw them. I'd get the Batman, but I dont really need it. I'm just trying to round out the DC universe of characters I like.
Deadman arrived today, just after another board member, Stryker, sent me the Scribblenauts version. Next on my list is either the Son of Batman Damian figure, or the Lil Gotham Damian figure. Or COnsidering the quality of them, I might end up caving and getting both. |
