Yeah there's whole blu-ray boxsets for Batman: TAS, and Superman, Batman Beyond and Justice League....that comprise the DCAU from 1992-2006. Basically the golden age of superhero cartoons.

So my head canon reasoning for this is that this is due to the Utrom Transport that Ch'rell was able to crash landed on Earth in feudal Japan time period (quick google search said this would be around 1185 AD to 1603 AD, S2E6 Secret Origins Pt 1 did not mention a specific time to my knowledge) so Ch'rell was able to learn and manipulate the robot body into a martial arts force between the crash landing and all the years running the foot clan there.

edit: DCAU is soo good - BTAS and JL/JLU are my favorites still need to watch most of Batman Beyond

I'm not sure I understand how it didn't "make sense" in the first place. We're talking about a device that is meant to help said alien pass for human, why wouldn't he be able to do anything a human could theoretically do?

How does Ch’rell see what is going on at human eye level when he is in the stomach? I don’t remember a screen being in the robot’s stomach that he can see through. He would need to see at eye level to know how high to block punches and be able to push buttons faster than the Turtles can throw hits. I just think that type of coordination against others trained in martial arts would take extraordinary skill.

I just assumed that there's some sort of brain link that lets the Utroms see through the robot eyes while in the suit, if they want to. That's what most things that use this kind of robot seem to do, including the 2012 version of the utroms. Or maybe there is just straight up a screen in there and we just can't see it. Later versions of his suit are completely enclosed, so there must be something.

Always assumed there is a some sort of brain link between Utroms and their suits. Otherwise it doesn't make sense.

The same goes for Krang in FW, even though early episodes, had shown him controlling android with two levers inside the cavity. But I chalk it up to the usual FW shenanigans.

Of course. Like the Utroms have "menta-wave helmets," so surely the suits would have something like that.

I've always been under the assumption that when the utrom exosuit was originally created centuries ago, it had to be manually controlled. That's what appeared to be the case in Secret Origins. Though as earths technology advanced, it became possible for them to make the suit controllable through thought.

I read that the Max Fleischer Superman material is getting or recently got a Blu-Ray release. I need to dig that up at some point......
