It's not SO far off from what it should be but their look in general, as others have said, is a little too cartoony, particularly Bebop. Bebop needs a lot of work. I mean to some degree I can accept both characters having poor fashion sense, but the mohawk and the pants on Bebop, especially, should be better.

It's just a little too literal for an adaptation that's only going halfway into any of the material it's "adapting".
It feels literal, but in the wrong direction.

But you gotta admit, if you weren't a wrestler, you might not be willing to give the guy a pass. Maybe he'll be awesome, but he's about as right for the role as Fox is for April.

And not even funny circus-like clowns.

Hollywood Blvd clowns who don't want to go whole hog on the clown thing, but still want to make some money so they dress up in "silly but still tough" outfits.

I don't mind them looking goofy and cartoonish. It kind of seems like they will harken back to OT Bebop and Rocksteady and that's what they were back then. So far, to it doesn't seem out of place with what this film will be. This film just seems like this will be a lighter film all around.

Purple mohawk looks promising; Im sure the second will be better than the first. Remember; they completely changed the first movie around post production and chopped it to bits trying to cave to fan complaints. Now they have a clean slate and learned their lesson the first time around

You guys do realize we'll likely only see their human forms in a few brief scenes of the film, and for the majority of it they'll be mutants, right?

They'll be all CG like the Turtles were, so the human actors won't even be there anymore, besides still voicing the characters I assume.

He's a goofy-lookin' bastard, but Sheamus is a legit 6'6, about 280. They can put him literally IN a clown suit, he'd still look like the toughest guy in any room. Ain't his fault he's Irish; some of us don't tan well!

We did both train at the Monster Factory, but it was about 10 years apart. Working under some of the same people, though, I gotta say, he's gotta be a pretty rough fella. Place is pretty cutthroat.

I'unno if he's "right" for any role, even this one. I will say, his performance is the one and only thing I care about seeing in the movie. He himself ain't helpin' or hurtin' a damn thing. Movie's a guaranteed dumpster fire. If Sheamus gets a few chuckles, fine. Anything to fight the blatant anti-Irish bias in Hollywood. Racism, that's all it is.

sure, give him a role in a movie, i a'int against the idea of a big irish lad kicking butt- thing is, rocksteady is a dumpy blonde fat oaf. Sheamus (not his real name right?) is a big imposing guy, at least from what you're telling me -I wouldn't know, other than pics online, and I just don't feel he fits this character type.

Now, if he were chosen to play Rocksteady as a mutant, THEN I get it. But the human version? He's already a huge hunk of meat - why mutate a perfectly adequate fighter?

Even Sheamus can't beat the Hulk, so how can he beat 4 of them?

And that's why he'll be mutated into a bigger Hulk, with a horn.

How do you know they won't be mutated until the very last segment of the film? You don't.

I bet they will still be around, just in the motion capture suits, But they would also have stunt performers doing some of the action scenes.

Stephen Farrelly, is his name.

Frankly it sounds like they were hell-bent on having a wrestler play Rocksteady and probably went with the physically biggest guy who auditioned. It could've been worse, they could'a went with Cody Rhodes. I'unno what anyone was thinking with THAT one.

So far, I'm surprised how much I'm liking what I've seen and heard about this. I hated the first, but this looks like it's going so much in the right direction it's almost a soft reboot.

I've even noticed the mo-cap suits, those white balls on their heads are much closer to the actor's heads. I'm wondering, hoping against hope perhaps, if they're going to downside the turtles a little to be closer to the mo-cap actors' heights, which would be great for me.

Heck, are the mo-cap shells smaller than last time?

I had a dream they replaced Sheamus with Brock Lesnar which could actually make more sense in the looks department at least. Hopefully Sheamus does a good job and drops the Irish accent some for this role

You don't like money? Rocksteady's mo-cap stunt double has been seen on set.
