Doesnt look like it to me.

Hypothetically, why would they want to put Slash anyway? That's like instead of Mikey in Lego movie, you put Slash. Only like 0.00001% people from the audience would recognise him from the tmnt franchise, which is a wasteful potential for promotion.

Who even cares who is in Ready Player One. Anyone thinking any of these cameos amount to anything more than "Hey, is that...?" before they vanish is just setting themselves up for disappointment. And they aren't "real appearances" even in the context of the movie's story itself.

Eh... Doubt it. Unrelated anthro turtle-people in other media aren't inherently or necessarily the TMNT or a cameo/nod/Easter egg to them, imo. (Esp when the TMNT are rarely portrayed that animalistic in the first place and isn't how most know them.) Interesting though.

I don't care for any of the cameos of Ready Player 1, I like the concept itself and having licensed characters instead of generic fantasy dudes makes no difference to me.

It'll be no different than Wreck it Ralph where the characters at most get 4 seconds of interactions but most are just background fodder making their apperances almost worthless.

Okay, that was a whole whackload of salt.

It looks like a turtle dude. That's all i'm saying.
Maybe it's somebody else. Just thought it was cool, like the Injustice thing.
Plus, it's not as though we're getting any "real" TMNT action anytime soon.

Hey, Slash film (get it?) thinks it's a TMNT character as well.
