Meltzer says suspensions have been handed out and several of the talent involved in the post-scrum backstage assault will not be attending Dynamite. Moxley and Jericho, who were not scheduled for the show, have been called in to appear.

Multiple sources have shared that Punk and Ace Steel will either be among those suspended, or will no longer be with the company by the end of Wednesday. Punk met with Khan on Tuesday, so the two had an opportunity to discuss how that exit could be handled.

Punk and the Elite were stripped of their titles and weren't mentioned at all on Dynamite, MJF remains a heel and cut a promo that name-dropped Cody, Nick Khan, and Triple H as well as the developing bidding war between WWE and AEW over him that'll occur in 2024.

So for those curious...

Tony Kahn announced there will be matches for new AEW Champ and AEW Trios Tag Champs. Not interim champs, but all out new champs.

MJF cut a fake-face promo before switching back to heel and dissing the crowd. No mention of Punk. His deal is now is to remind everyone regardless who wins the tournament, he'll come after them. Mox came in and cut a 'what AEW means to me' promo and got the crowd pumped for the rest of the show.

We had the Death Triangle go against Best Friends and Cassidy for the Trios belt. Death Triangle won so they are now the new Trio Tag Champs.

There is a tournament for the new AEW Champ, it started with Bryan Danielson defeating Hangman to advance.

The Acclaimed appeared but Swerve cut them off before they could start rapping, so no mentions of Punk or the Elite or anything like that.

The following week will have BD VS Jericho. Daniel Garcia won against Wheeler Yuta and is the new RoH Pure Champion and both Yuta and Danielson got all hand-shakey and huggy with Garcia as a sign of respect, which Jericho saw and did not like. This will make their match much more personal next week.

Let’s say that the Young Bucks were leaking internal information about what was going on behind the scenes in AEW, that they were leaking that information to Dave Meltzer. If he can’t wrestle again, some attorney is gonna say, ‘He had at least 10 solid years left in his career because look at Chris Jericho, look at this guy who is over 50 years old.’ So, it’s about a 50-million-dollar lawsuit. That’s gonna be a mess. If they keep him around and don’t fire him, it’s because they’re trying to navigate that. That’s my guess.”"

As usual, it's really hard to argue with him because objectively, he's correct.

I personally wouldn't want to see Punk go because if he does, AEW is finished. They will never, EVER sign a bigger "name" than him and they need him more than he needs them, and even though I hate as much of AEW's stuff as I do WWE's but for different reasons, I do want to see them figure it out and find a way to hang on, because a true WWE monopoly would be awful for the business. Without Punk, AEW dies, it's as simple as that. HOWEVER, if this were any other business, then yeah, he'd be gone for sure. Even if this was a "real" wrestling company and not a goddamn trampoline show full of indy guys and yard-tards propped up by two or three Actual Pro Wrestlers, he'd be fired, simply for embarrassing the company and being as fragile as a Faberge egg.

But in any case, "I submit that perhaps he got that torn tricep stuffing his f*cking face with Twinkies in that scrum" is Quote of the Year. F*cking love this guy.

I heard there's already a long line of people waiting to hook up with Paige/Saraya, and that she's ready and willing. To be fair, WWE is a real company and thus the legal liability if someone gets permanently injured on their dime is far more substantial.

AEW is an indy fed with a TV deal, so I'm sure their "medical clearance to compete" is exactly the same as the places I work for. I.e., "Did you sign the waiver? Okay good LoL."

Remember for a while Daniel Bryan was also 'permanently retired' even when he was actually cleared for few years and it took forever for WWE to finally relent and bring him back.

I guess, like you said since they had a higher case of liability, would explain why the WWE took forever to bring DB back. They most likely wanted to be 110% sure he wouldn't be re-injured before letting him come back.

Luckily I don't think AEW has any noticeable botch queens like Sasha and Nia, or at least dangerous botches so Paige should be safe.

I'm pretty sure Paige can take it.

AEW has one her name is Marina Shafir she is ****ing awful she makes Jade Cargill look like a seasoned Vet. She is Nyla's tag partner. She literally dropped a girl on her neck doing her tag finisher with Nyla last week on Elevation.
