Wonder if Peter David would've kept Oroku Saki as an utrom.

They're all coming back baby!!!!

Also coincidentally, I found my Dreamwave collection. Turns out I got all 7 issues after all. For some reason I always thought I only had 6 and never got the 7th.

Did you also get the TPBs with the planned content for the T4 storyline?

Ah no. Since I own all the individual issues, it feels like double-dipping and a waste of money to buy the TPB.

I'm surprised IDW haven't Reprinted the DW series as well.

Seems like an easy quick buck to make.

#1, who knows what kind of deal was struck between Dreamwave and Mirage or with Peter David himself. Maybe they can't, at least cheaply.

#2, it would require Nick to acknowledge the 4Kids show, something they seem reluctant to do for some reason.

"For some reason" being "It would make every single thing Nick have done with the brand look pathetic by comparison and they just don't want to deal with that."

Oddly enough, IDW recently included issue #2 of the TMNT Dreamwave comic in the Best of Baxter Stockman compilation.

Well, there goes my #1. Kind of my #2 then, too, though this isn't really front and center.

Alright, a few questions:
  1. Dreamwave #2 is effectively just a retelling of Mirage #2 with some (non-canon) April Flashbacks. Why not simply use Mirage #2 and skip DW #2?
  2. DW #3 has a lot more focus on Baxter rather than April, so isn't that one better for this purpose?
  3. Why not use any of the Vol.2 issues featuring Baxter or several IDW issues?
  4. Finally, why this series of reprints? I'm pretty sure all other issues contain material already in trades by IDW, why make an exception here?

It also makes me curious as to what a "Best of Hun" issue would be?

I would have agreed with both of those points too. I was surprised to see it included.

Now it gets even more surprising and odd, because they also included Mirage #2 in the same book. The other issue included is IDW's Baxter Micro.

What makes that extra weird though is that Mirage #2 was already collected in the Best of April compilation, so they are repeating issues when there are other good options, such as the ones you mentioned. Nothing makes sense.

I really wish I knew the answers to the rest of those questions too.
