They won't be teenagers for much longer, so if Paramount is in fact looking for actual teens to voice the Turtles, then I think they should get Asher Angel and Jack Dylan Grazer to voice two of them.

We don't know anything about these movies based on TMNT villains save that they will be on Paramount+. It was largely assumed that since they were announced during the same presentation that confirmed Seth Rogen's cgi animated theatrical movie (which itself looks to be a very stylised take on the 80s cartoon and toy line) that they were connected. Since then it's been confirmed that the two projects are unconnected. I would not bet money on these movies being live action or connected to the supposedly still in development live action.

Whoa...
I've been away from the Technodrome for awhile. I didn't know about the new images from the Rogen production. I have no expectations for story, "dark" or "light." It's whatever it'll be. But the teaser art looks awesome. I've always been a fan of the over-the-hand bandannas. Wish they gave one to Donatello, too. Raphael not looking like a meathead is a breath of fresh air.

So let's further drag the Mirage logo into the mud. Or worse, make it represent many things, so it means nothing at the end of the day.

It's not even "the film's" logo, it's just forgoing any effort and using what already exists. (I know, I know, I -- or rather we -- were already critical of that other one...)
I totally understand that a title with that much text also makes it rather hard come up with something that looks good, because the text itself ends up have to be the logo, else it's almost inherently going to look too busy and bulky if you start trying to add stuff to it. BUT. My one issue with using this one... Given the history of that logo, it clashes with the angle of the film. If they wanted to do a very Mirage-inspired or otherwise gritty one focused on the ninja aspect, then fine. But wanting to focus on the teenage part of the title and based on the concept art we've seen and the tone set by that "class notes" paper... I feel like the pairing is like...how can I put it... like biting into an apple and it jarringly tastes like spaghetti? Just my two cents as a nobody who has no hand in the whole thing, but I kinda feel like looking at that logo (and others) could more-so be a starting place and then consider font styles that convey the tone of film they are actually going for and come up with something similar, but fitting for this particular film? edit: Of course it might also not really be their finial decision anyhow, it could just be in temporary use until they have their own official one. That hopefully makes more sense for the tone that has been hinted at...but less busy/bulky than that other logo we'd seen. Last edited by IndigoErth; 03-13-2022 at 12:48 PM. |

Just want to go on record now and say I think this movie is going to be awesome and will be the best TMNT adaptation since 2007.

....Isn't that just a fancy way of saying the fart I drop after dinner might be better than the fart I dropped after lunch?
Just kidding (kinda). TMNT was... Okay. But that's all. Completely forgettable and zero cultural impact. Nothing "bad" about it but the brand really needed something completely different that would have really moved the needle, and that movie wasn't it. It's fine, I watch it sometimes. Then I completely forget much of what happens in it until the next time I watch it. Which isn't what's supposed to happen, but is indeed what happens. That said, I'd still be okay with a "safe" movie that makes very little impact, at this point, over a completely wretched abomination like the last two movies were.

I dunno, looks more like the 2012 show's logo but without the Nickelodeon logo dripping orange goo in in the corner.

I know I'm late to the party but I just saw the supposed concept art for the new movie. Is this real? Like, there's any confirmation this is legit? Cuz it looks like some beautiful fanart, yet the turtles look so goofy and ugly.

I'm be shocked if there was any footage that was presentable at this point. Probably just a string of 3D animatics with low texturing if anything. I mean, has Rogen even indicated the script itself is done?
