If it's a design they were likely going with had they used it for the first film, then why not, makes as much sense to go with that, and gotten work on the models started right away, than spend more time going back to the drawing board. If they scrap it entirely because we've seen it...lame.

I do believe I see a faint hint of a dusty dark purple in the mohawk however, esp when you compare to the color of the ponytail end. (Not that that would have been guaranteed to be that way in the actual model.)

The mohawk in that concept art IS purple, it's just a more natural and faded shade. Look closely.

As much as I like him as Groot and the Iron Giant, Vin Diesel is the LAST person I'd want to be associated with this film franchise. Bad enough Amell is a part of it....

Rocksteady's definitely the one I care more about...I'm trying to picture him with DiMaggio's voice. It'd work, I think; but a deeper voice would be better. Plus it's too distinguishable.
