I can't speak for Leatherhead, but there is a possibility of an updated Slash with cartoon accurate proportions (probably around the size of Metal Head).

He wasn't that big in the cartoon, was he? I thought he was roughly TMNT-height... I need to watch his episodes again.

But to be fair, NECA made Bebop & Rocksteady a good bit larger than they were in the cartoon too.

He was a bit bulkier than the turtles. Here's a clip of Slash tossing Donatello around:

You’re right! Dang, while I think it’s within the range of “close enough,” now I want a bulkier Slash figure too! And a smaller B&R.

It’s kinda weird, considering how perfectly they nail the looks and sizing on so many figures in the line, how far off they are on the sizes of some others. At least part of that can be blamed on the show itself going so far off-model from time to time, but still. There’s room for improvement.

It looks like NECA beat Super7 in making a GITD Muckman

https://toynewsi.com/139-42022

I've also mentioned that I hope they explore a GITD Super Shredder for their 4th Super Shredder variant. A few days later, I've noticed someone in one of those TMNT Facebook groups posting a pic of a GITD Super Shredder. I wasn't sure if it was a custom but it had the NECA brand sealed on the bottom of the foot.

Oh my. 4 super shredders? Insanity. What if that 4 pack hiding in the background of that same pic with the robo henchmen was 4 GITD turtles?

You know what would be cooler than glow in the dark stuff for adult collectors? Stuff made to look good in black light. GITD crap never glows all that brightly or for very long these days.

Apparently Loot Crate figures were also spotted in New Jersey, Zapp Comics.

You know, you might be on to something. The 4 pack turtles don't actually look like the TID Style Guide variants that people are expecting, granted that they are blurry low-res photos. I haven't been too impressed with some of the GITD offerings. Super7 Baxter had an impressive blue glow but it was short-lived. A black light solution help. The stuff in the 80's used to glow for a while...maybe they used some real radioactive materials...

I was originally thinking it could be a 4-pack of the style guide colors with the TID type heads. Maybe it's an Archie Turtles 4-pack. The thing that throws off a little bit is the fact that it's using the classic logo. That makes you think it might be cartoon related but the Archie comics use the classic logo also so, could be? Hmm

I hope we don't get another Super Shredder at all, let alone a GITD one... I do like the black light idea, though, but I'm not sure what figures I'd want to be black light reactive.

Since they showed them in the Haulathon video, I don't think they'd be Archie TMNT since the Archie line isn't Target exclusive (who knows if it'll even be in Target at all?). I'd put money on it being the Style Guide TID-style TMNTs, and the low quality just makes it look a little off.

Yeah - I mean if it's there for people who want it, then cool, and at least it would be reuse of an existing mold, so basically all they are doing is pouring the resin.

But with that said, even with re-use I view these things like wasted movie productions. It's more resources and time for a junk release taking up space and time in place of something better. No matter how much re-use their is.

You're probably right. Potato quality throwing the look off.

I don't know about a GITD variant at this point, I think the three of them are enough. The thought of a standard purple release super shredder with some glow in the dark paint somewhat splattered on him as if residual mutagen from his mutation might be kind of cool. But that's something even the inexperienced customizer could probably do. Now I'm giving myself ideas. Haha

I think the real question is who wants this and why?

Muckman is my favorite (non-turtle) mutant, & I'm a sucker for GITD. I haven't copped any of the new Muck merch, but plan to, & was hopeful that Super 7 would do this, but the more the merrier! I'm not a huge fan of the cartoon design, so having this gimmick makes the figure a lot more appealing for me.

Kinda light on accessories, but I guess I don't know if there's anything else they could come with and be accurate.

I kind of hate the color of Tokka but I'm assuming it's accurate to the show as NECA has been pretty spot-on with the details. I'm still excited for it, just wish he wasn't so pale.

So are we expecting these to be the next set to hit stores?
