By far my favorite episode of the season. Amazing action sequences and a bit of humor. It's also getting pretty dark, when those flashes of Rat King first appeared, I definitely jumped a bit. I was thinking to myself, if I saw that as a kid, I'd definitely freak out a little. I think ICK is awesome. When Mikey threw him from the cooler, that was hilarious! I also don't see what the problem is with Irma, she seems just fine to me. She adds another personality to the show that we don't get to see much.
But man, that ending, a bit abrupt for my tastes, but indeed badass. I love that Splinter is always thinking of the safety of his children first. The hesitation he has really adds to his character. Overall a great episode, can't wait to watch Wormquake! |

I really loved this episode. I still can't believe they showed a cat melt and show that horror story mutation in Rat King's lair. As usual, Splinter is just too amazing and has some of the best action scenes in the series. I am not sure it it was meant to be funny, but when Mikey told Splinter "No" and Splinter flipped out, I couldn't stop laughing. No one ever tells Splinter no.

I do not know how that "failed experiment" got past the radar... It's a good thing that he isn't a major character or has a full model.

I don't know why the camera was so zoomed out during the "failed experiment" scene. It seems like nobody got a clear glimpse of what we were supposed to be looking at.

This episode was all kinds of awesome. Splinter fighting RK was great and I loved ICK. She's so adorable! It was great seeing Irma again and having her have a bigger role, too. She kind of reminds me of Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. Casey taking it to the rats was good, too. I also noticed the pizza guy getting picked up, and I think I saw the girl who had tea with Leo in there, too. Overall a very good episode. Bring on Wormquake!

I thought this was a decent episode, not one of the best but decent enough.
It's nice seeing more of Irma but I was disappointed she didn't get turned into a rat mutant lol. It seems this episode takes quite a bit from the 80's toon. The giant mutated rats from the Red Sky episode "Wrath of the Rat King" & "Were-Rats from Channel 6" with Rat King wanting to turn everyone into mutant rat people. Ice Cream Kitty was interesting but I seriously thought that giant rat was going to eat it. Also Mikey needs to stop licking it, that's nasty as hell. It's great to see Splinter overcome his weakness to the Rat Kings powers as well. I do have to wonder now though if we will have a bunch of giant mutant rat running around now though. It really would of helped if Don had that retromutagen finished already. I'd give this episode a 7.5 out of 10. There are so many messed up moments on here for a children show and this failed experiment and Ice Cream Kitty are just in one episode! oy they best be careful with all this horror stuff on a kids show. 2. I really don't know how that failed experiment got past the radar, especially on Nick. I wasn't scared by the mutation of ICK, but I have to admit, I was scared by the failed experiment and the Rat King jumpscare face. I guess that's an example of what Ciro meant by the season getting darker. I hope it doesn't go the "Insane in the Membrane" path. |

Really good ep. ICK was adorable. Rat King was awesome, giant rats were frickin scary.
The Donnie/Casey tension is so thick you could cut it with a katana. Splinter was being a total badass. |

Splinter's part of the story was by far the best part of this episode...but the rest was good too.

I have a feeling that was the point. I think they made it dark enough so that we were horrified, but also still wondering exactly what the hell we were looking at. That's part of what made it so creepy.

I enjoyed it. The Rat King is so good at being such a pain. I think he's one of the better villain that hit close to home for the TMNT.
