Darius Drives 'em All
Darius McCollum, born in March 1965 and also referred to as "Train Man" by the media, is very fascinated with public transport and has driven buses and trains without any certification since he was 12.
Greyhound Lines buses, New York City Subway cars, commuter trains and even Amtrak long-distance intercity trains with hundreds of passengers inside the railway cars. Darius just wants to drive them all because he sees it as his responsibility. He doesn't hijack them or steel them for joyrides, instead he drives them according to the timetable with all the calls. The police arrested him for first time on 29 January 1981 for driving a New York City Subway train. It was the drivers who taught him to drive, to give them more breaks. Following the September 2001 Al-Qaeda terrorist attacks in New York City, he volunteered and assisted the American police by telling them his knowledge. When he worked as a guide in a public transport museum, he was dismissed when his employers learned who he was. He has later been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, and loves New York City, not just its buses and trains. He has later been arrested by the police again, sentenced to prison, and later being moved to mental hospital, where he currently resides with dangerous murderers despite never hurting someone. What are your thoughts about him? Is he a danger to society, or a victim of corruption within the justice system? Or maybe a dangerous victim? Maybe some of you have ridden with him without knowing it? Last edited by Original TMNT Cartoon Fan; 07-19-2021 at 06:40 AM. |
