Arguably Ninjara in the Archie series is the first time TMNT pandered to furries and that was the 90's.

Only in the weird Furrlough spinoff, and that doesn't count because it's technically not TMNT and barely anyone knows about it. In the main series she did nothing beyond exist.

She did have some pretty big boobs, and they were rather prominent much of the time.

Sometimes, it doesn't take much.

I definitely count the Furrlough story as "canon" though, since her creator did that story. Too bad it never went anywhere. And that some pages were flipped due to a printing error. Bummer.

I know it's canon, I'm just saying it shouldn't be used as "evidence" for TMNT being furry related since it's technically not TMNT and isn't really part of the overall brand.

There's pretty good odds that it will. Maybe not even all that far from now.

How is a comic introducing a fox creature during an arc with heavy mystic themes set in Japan, a country which famously and prominently features foxes in its mythology/religion, "pandering to furries"? That would be like saying that all childbirths pander to pedophiles. The eye of the beholder does all of the work.

That's how it's been in everything. You could have a character that was a featureless square, and it wouldn't take people 5 minutes to start speculating about it's sexuality, political opinions, and who it wants to bang, followed by another 2 minutes to declare whatever they thought of to be the only right thing, demand it be canonized, and then proclaim anyone who doesn't agree to be an istaphobe.

This was an awesome post. So on the money. It's the easiest thing for the weak life-loser to do - sabotage anyone at least one degree or higher than themselves as measured in life.

We used to contain this to small men and angry women in office environment jobs. Now it's spilled over into regular society at large.

First time I've seen this word, gonna look up the translation in Portuguese 'cause I have a feeling I'm going to be using it a lot. Thank you.

They all still are small men and angry women, but on the inside now.

Not in her debut story, but she became that way as Archie went on and she became Raph's love interest and they drew her with big boobs and a sultry figure.

Oh so we might get something after all? Last time I suggested the idea you said something similar.

I didnt know there was an error with the pages of the furrlough release. What was that about?

I'd have to dig it out of my longbox. I did a little "review" of the three Furrlough issues here way back when I first joined the forum, as I'd managed to pick them up from a local dealer and almost nobody here at the time had seen them, so they asked me to give a little synopsis/transcription.

I think it was the first issue of the storyline, hard to remember now, but in any case there was an error with two pages being printed out of order. All I can remember is that it's something you'd notice if you read it; like on a first read-through there's a scene that plays "clunky" until you realize that the two pages are meant to be read the other way around, one before the other.

If I dig it out anytime soon I'll be able to get more specific.

IM not sure how portuguese will go with that. I heard it for the first time not too long ago on Clownfish TV...a catch all term for someone who has said something so much be sexist, racist and homophobic even if the statement/criticism has no connection to any of that (I think it was coined in response to the backlash from people not liking Fem-ghostbusters_

I looked it up later, it's "istafóbico" in Portuguese. Woke idiots come in every language.
