You've been here for almost twenty tears, surely you've noticed the Ignore function. If you can't handle others having diverging views and the right to voice them freely, that's your best bet. Last edited by ChosenOne; 10-04-2021 at 09:59 PM. |

I am not in an echo chamber, and as I said above, I haven’t read this story in years. So when you blabber on about me being in an echo chamber, it causes some confusion. I can handle diverging opinions, but I find it interesting how abrasive you are towards this book, yet you keep reading it, purchasing it, and therefor supporting it’s continued existence. I promise you that your rambling here is doing nothing to “fight the power”. Your money is making the only difference. So, it’s a bit odd to see you chasing your tail like this. Stop supporting the book if you don’t like the direction. Sure, I suggested that on behalf of your blood pressure, but it’d also be the best way to send your message. |

I buy the book, read the book and complain, you tell me to stop supporting it and move on.
I don't buy the book, find ways to still read the book and complain, you tell me I don't get a say because I don't support it anymore. See how that works? 'Cause I sure do. I don't want to stop reading and supporting the book, I want it to stop sucking so much and revert to what it used to be. I want Tom Waltz to take up the reins again after it became clear that this current run is only all about keeping his seat warm. And I want to freely express myself all the while. It's that simple. Don't see why anyone would have a problem with that outside of deliberately wanting to silence dissenting voices. Awareness of the fact isn't a prerequisite for being in an echo chamber. Fortunately for me, you don’t get to say what I do, what I say and how I think. Nor how I spend my money. If my free speech and free thinking are that abrasive to your sensitivities, again, that's what the Ignore function is for. I trust you'll use it wisely. Thank you. |

2. Yeah, it’d be a little strange to keep reading the book whether you are paying for it or not. We are like two years into Sophie’s run and by the way your posts read, it is a book that represents everything you’re against. Kinda weird to keep reading it. It’s just a little picture book about ninja turtles. Obviously this would be different if you enjoyed it. 3. My initial post was actually more about your attitude towards other members than your feelings about the book, but it became intertwined. Dislike the book all you want, while continuing to give it life and fund it’s continued existence, I guess… but at least don’t let your rage turn you into a prick to people around you. A poster pointed something out to you and you reacted like a child. Lame. |

Yes, sir. Whatever you say, Mr. Cultist. This is where I leave you, endlessly repeating the same boilerplate arguments to yourself in a loop. Enjoy the Kool-Aid.

I will always stand up for others and call out crappy behaviour like that if it happens. Also I've never said that anyone's opinion regarding the comic isn't valid, I've just made a point of backing up my arguments with actual evidence. |

People's personal histories or predilections have nothing to do with you or anyone else; everyone's free to attack the comic as they see fit but no one has the right to attack people for who they are. I also have to agree that TMNT has always been furry-adjacent, pretty much all IP's with anthro's are. |

TMNT has never been furry related before now. Having anthropomorphic characters does not makes something furry related. By that logic, everything with Mickey Mouse in it would be furry, but nobody thinks liking Mickey Mouse makes you a furry. Heck, that standard would make a bunch of golden age era cartoons furry related, and I guarantee you that the concept of furries didn't even exist at that time. TMNT, Mickey Mouse, and many other properties like it fall into the general category of "funny animals," which is a distinct category from "Furry" material, using animals as characters because they can be more visually interesting or "funny," but who could functionally be replaced by real people most of the time. It doesn't really become furry related until you sexualize it. Which the current TMNT run as done to some degree, to its and TMNT's detriment.

IDW Toitles has been sucky for a long time. Totally infiltrated with counter-culture garbage. I quit paying for it a long time ago, but TMN Toiltes is my hobby so I stay abreast by other means. It is not a good book.
