The 'I Got A New Piece Of Art' Thread, (for everybody!)
As discussed over here, I thought it might be a cool idea to have one thread for peoples' art collections - its sometimes hard to keep track of what people have got in loadsa seperate threads, and I get a kick outta seeing other folks' art collections. So feel free to add, and I reckon that it don't need to be exclusively 'New', just put up what you'se have got!
So I guess I better go first, with this commission that I got from 'Awesome Jim Lawson' himself, in the post earlier this week:

Wow. I have always loved the black and white mirage stuff. The one of a kind sketch stuff you never see elsewhere is so awesome to see.

I love your Fosco cover piece so much. That Lawson Commish is insanely awesome as well. great background detail!
What is Lawsons email? I think I may ask him for a commish.

Not Turtles related but I did score some nice Original Art this weekend at SpringCon in St. Paul, MN.
I got this awesome Green Arrow page featuring Connor from Phil Hester! Pencils by Hester inks by Andy Parks. A Ghostbusters page from the Other Side mini series from IDW a couple years back. Pencils and inks by Tom Nguyen. How can you not love this page of Venkman punching out Janine? So hilarious hahaha! And the grandaddy of them all...a sketch from one of the greatest Superman artist of all time, Jose Luis Garcia Lopez (I'm a huge Superman fan). It was an honor just to meet him and get some books signed and pick up this sketch. It was really great! I also got a really amazing Ghostbusters page from Erik Burnham. Its from the Real Ghostbusters backup story he's drawing. Its a fairly big reveal and is from the new issue #4 that comes out tomorrow, so I'll wait to post it so I don't spoil anything.

nice! i emailed him about two weeks back and he said he my drawing was finished and so were a bunch of others that he needed to mail out. he said he was going to send me a scan, but never did. i still have not received the drawing. i'm guessing if he does in fact have a bunch completed, that he plans to mail them all at once. if thats the case, i wish he would just mail them out in batches. this way the buyers could at least see some movement.

I asked him for an update a week ago and it would seem he never even read it (Facebook has that whole checkmark system now that lets you know).
If he does have a finished batch of stuff, I sure do hope mine is one of them. I've been waiting since August. |

Pretty excited about this pinup, just won if off comiclink literally 20 mins ago. So I figured I'd share with the TMNT art junkies here when I first saw it, I thought of Termiators awesome painting with Leo and Wolverine, this pinup isn't as cool, but it's gonna look great on my wall. I'll post pics when it's framed up

I commissioned this from Jim Lawson as a commerative piece for the 30th Anniversary. I had him leave a portion of the paper blank so I could get sugnatures/sketches from the rest of the guys. I may get nice prints made up as I don't think I want to have anything touch the original. If anyone's interested in a print, PM me. I asked Jim to reboot the van from the 1987 Mid-Ohio Con ad from the earlier volume 1 books. Jim dd an awesome job if I might say...
Original for reference Spoiler:
