cereal:geek gives something to Archie/Adventures fans

Hi everyone,
Thanks again to those of you who provided me with info. on the Fleetway UK comics.

As I mentioned in that thread for help, I have written an article that will be appearing in the summer issue of cereal:geek. This issue's theme is... comics based on cartoon shows!
www.cerealgeek.com

The mag has already covered the Mirage comics and the turtles' big transition into a cartoon, so this special feature is devoted to the Archie comics (including Mighty Mutanimals and their stab at getting an animated series as well). If you're a fan of TMNT Adventures then this is your best buy of the year outside of "Forever War" (which also gets some exposure, and it's funny that it looks like synergy is happening here).

James just sent me the artwork and layout today and it looks fantastic. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up and what's coming!

PS
And you can probably guess, "Real Ghostbusters" will also be featured in an article written by yours truly, as will many other comics. I'm sure Transformers and He-Man are at the top of the list, and I don't know who all else is in there!

*Sigh* The British get all the luck...

EDIT:
Oh, apparently the rest of the world can buy the issues now!

And is the Cereal Geek Special just the equivalent of 1.50 GBP? I might have to go ahead and download that one!

When is the summer issue due out?

I wonder if we will see coverage of Marvel's Star Comics line or Comico.

Summer issue is due out... sometime this summer. Not sure, what with the difficulty of putting together an indie zine! Also not sure if Star Comics or Comico will be featured. I'm only sure of my own articles, though as I said you could lay down money that Transformers, Masters of the Universe and (I forgot earlier) GI Joe will be there.

If you're a c:g fan, contact the ever-approachable James Eatock and tell him what you'd like to see. He obviously loves the action cartoons the most with He-Man at the top of the list, but Jem! fans have been so vocal and so thankful that he's made sure to include her in pretty much every issue.

Someday I should share with the world my idea of revamping Jem as a movie franchise. I'm serious! Don't look at me like that!
