I had the one with the undead pirates. God, I haven't even thought about that in years. I'd forgotten what issue of the magazine I'd had; thanks for posting that and refreshing my memory.

Thanks buffy! Damn! I didn't realize there were so many! I thought there were like 7. I WAS gonna hunt each down on ebay, but now it seems as though it may be a tedious task! At least we can now admire nice large pictures of the covers

Thanks for doing this, Buffy! Also, Krang has given permission to post selected page scans, such as the comic adventures. If you have time and are willing to share, I'd love to see those too! I don't think I've ever seen the Winter 1992 issue, so that would be the one I'm most interested in. Who's "Motorhead?"

You're welcome!

I might have some time this evening: I'll try to scan the comic pages in. It's fun to share.

EDIT:

Here is the comic from winter '92:

Man, that's some pretty cool stuff. I'm on missions now to find these magazines (so far, i've found 5&7, on route to me now!) Also, the ever elusive Hero turtles mags are building up (i've now got the first 29 issues, bar one or two) - there's some great art and stories in there that weren't printed in the US. Although too long to scan for these here forums, I may stick up some pages when i've got more time.

Discordiatookie, I've always wanted to see some scans of the original stories from the Hero Turtles Magazines! I even started a thread for collecting information on them. If you ever decide to make some scans, please remember to PM me a link.

Will do! There's far too much pages to put it all up, but i'll get some up soon. Can't be bothered tonight, just off a twelve hour shift, and its getting quite late now. But soon! There's also some TMHT ads I was looking through tonight that I wouldn't mind getting up - I imagine some folk aint seen them!

I sure do! Are you interested in the comics from the other magazines? I can scan some more.

Discordiatookie, I'm also interested in those UK stories.

It's been ages since I've seen it, but from what I remember Garfield, dressed as a Ninja Turtle, decides that he's Garfello (or something) and goes into the sewers to introduce himself to the other Turtles. In the process, he reveals his weapon to be a really nice and shiny pizza cutter. I can't remember if the Turtles were impressed or not or if anything else happened that didn't involve eating pizza and cracking jokes.

I remember the art style being much different than a normal Turtles Magazine comic. I'm guessing Jim Davis drew it all or something.

Hmm, I've got an issue of Garfield Magazine (Winter 1992) with that story printed in it. It was written by Jim Davis and drawn by Bary Barker and Larry Fentz. Laird did the inking on the TMNT and Steve Lavigne colored. I wonder if they ran it in both issues?

I really don't think so. It's really too bad. I was hoping I would be able to score a complete set of newspaper strips through GoComics, yet it appears it wasn't to be.

Ha! He's giving Peter Laird rabbit ears! For all that is sometimes said about his supposed tension with Laird, it is cool to see that they have/had a playful side as well.

Hey, Buffy, I'm really interested in seeing the comic from the Summer 1990 issue. I read about that issue here and apparently they end up fighting a "Lobsterdude"? Sounds interesting!
