I can't unsee this: Rise Leo Is 2k3 Mikey

They both have this attention seeking showboating attitude and have this constant need to crack a joke in the middle of the fight but only drops the goofiness when they are sincerely worry about their family's well being.

I swear the only difference between is their uniform color and the other guy doesn't have this cringey surfer voice that makes my ears bleed.

I can kind of see where you're coming from but Rise Leo seems like he's meant to be much more intelligent.

At least Rise Leo’s jokes are tolerable imo whereas 2012 Mikey’s antics are full on retarded.

Eh, I found Leo too try hard for me to enjoy his antics. He had a few good moments but overall 2k3 Mikey was more entertaining.

Yeah but you know when the other rise turtles are like Leo then they can play off each in term of comedy but in the series 2k3 when Mikey was the only goofy character then it just feels so out place. Almost like a force comedy relief side character of a Disney movie.

I know he was meant to break the tension but there could have been better ways to do it.

I'm speaking on my behalf. For me, I didn't enjoy "Leo" in this show. There was no straight man in the group and they all felt like the same character but with different archetypes. It was always their differences that made them stand out from one another in other incarnations.

2003 Mikey's only issue is he needed to save acting like a goober for only when appropriate. It would have been boring, even annoying, had they all acted alike. Maybe they're siblings, but even the personalities of siblings vary, so I much prefer that remain a working plan for the TMNT.

Mikey being the one playful, goofy guy works though. He wouldn't be the sunshiny heart of the group without it and it brings a positive light to a team and family who often face dark events in their lives. The other guys can get a bit moody, gloomy, etc sometimes, they need that positivity from him. Shows just need to stop mixing up being goofy with being an idiot.
