They're cute, they're fun, but they're only there to artificially make people feel like they were getting more for their money too.

To be honest I don't care about the hats or t-shirts either (I don't wear hats, and I have enough t-shirts that I never wear as it is). I know those are pretty appealing to others though.

I think a lot of people feel that way, hence why loot crate filed for bankruptcy. If these TMNT crates weren't centered around figures, no one would care, lol.

Damn, you're right.
I checked the wiki and

Quote:
The company announced that it was filing for bankruptcy protection on August 12, 2019, laying off close to half of its remaining workers in the weeks prior. The company owed more than US$30 million in debt and US$5.87 million in taxes, while its credit card processor has withheld payments to the company. While under Chapter 11 bankruptcy, it plans to continue to fulfill orders but seeks potential buyers.[5]

On October 1, 2019, subscribers were informed by email of Loot Crate's sale to Money Chest LLC., majority funded by NECA. The company will operate under a new name: The Loot Company.
Does Neca now own Loot Crate?
That explains why there are so many of these exclusive deals.
and also the recent loot crate-ish box from Neca

I agree 99.9%.

But the Mondo shirt was awesome.

Here's a good look at the Danny figure.

Arms are trash, but everything else looks solid.

Better than Casey's double jointed elbows though.

I never dreamt we'd see so many TMNT collectibles, and so I'm actually in the process of preparing to sell a bunch of mine just to get out from under the weight of all this...stuff. I'm going to keep my carded vintage collection (about 90% complete) for now, but I'm going to sell most of my 2K3 stuff (carded/boxed 98% complete). I just can't keep up with this anymore.
I use the stuff I don’t want as gifts or just sell it to pay for the crates.

The DESIGN is awesome, the shirt quality is pretty ordinary.

think i'm going for all 4 + bonus figure this time after skipping the last crates. I feel like the figures are better this time around, based on danny + the previews of the others.

waiting until my credit card statement rolls over then i'll buy it

I honestly don't feel like I missed out by passing on the previous crates... well, I kinda wish I had spirit splinter but the standard splinter fantastic and i'm fine with having it alone.

I don't really care of the Danny figure. Never really cared for the character. And those arms looks really bad. But I am so excited to Armaggon and the Scrag figures, so I definitely bought all 4 crates. Also I wanna see what else is gonna be in the movie crate. Really looking forward to these.

Poor choice to think Danny needs wrist articulation as opposed to a smooth sculpt. This is going to be the least played with or posed figure in the line. Just make it look good.

I caved in and finally got the new crates with extra figure I got the last round and they were all pretty cool. I really just wanted my bunny bebop and rocksteady lol

I was planning on selling my Bebop and Rocksteady, but it just dawned on me that they'd look pretty funny displayed alongside an eventual NECA Usagi if that were to happen.

I'm actually really stoked for Danny. For some reason, I identified with him. Those arms look similar to the Sarah Connor arms. If they are then they do have some weak, aesthetic points, but nothing too terrible. I'll take them over double-jointed Casey's. Even if the range of motion is less.

This Scrag figure presents a big issue for me: I'm gonna need alternative human body parts for BnR. Maybe they can make an accessory pack similar to the movie accessory pack.

Skin color and size of body parts is totally different. Better and easier to just make a human figure, can't imagine it not falling apart with that many changeable parts anyway. Bad idea.
