I'm not saying that's always going to be the case but that's pretty darn accurate so far. |

I'm definately taking a step back. Super7 TMNT you can get for $39.99 at amazon. This shows they are now over-produced and the resellers are taking a loss to move the product. How can a line sustain itself when people start seeing this kind of trend with Super7?

Since these are made to order Super7 will continue to produce figures. Kyle recently said in the most recent interview with SpeakyGeeky, they will continue to produce TMNT figures for as long as they have the license. Brian also recently hinted that the TMNT license is also their bread and butter. So although you may be seeing a decline in how many retailers will be purchasing these by the dozen, it’s unlikely they will stop the line while they continue to pay for the term of their license.

Right. Seems pretty obvious now that pre-ordering these is NOT the way to go, and instead you should wait until they hit Amazon, NTWRK, etc for less than retail. Maybe you'll even get lucky and it will be a re-release with improved articulation and more accessories!

Not TMNT but there's a new wave of Toxic Crusaders up from Super7. I'm sure I'm not the only one that mixed these in with their vintage turtles as a kid. They look fantastic and I'm actually semi tempted... unlike TMNT, I don't see these being available for less later on and likely won't get the re-release treatment either.

I just wish there was a bit of an all-in discount. Like, ok they're $55 apiece. Or you can get the bundle for $165... why even offer that option when it's the exact same price? I remember getting a $5 discount for one of the early TMNT waves. Gimme $5 and I'll spend $160, I'm that much of a sucker.

Someone at joe con was selling Super7 TMNT ultimates (and a few of other brands) for $25 each.....again, super7 has overproduced these, made to order or not.

I just hope the GI Joe Ultimates get the same treatment. I'm not grabbing those at $55 apiece but if they can be had for $30-$40 I'll definitely pick up a few.
To stay on topic, seems like we'll hopefully start seeing this next wave pop up in the next month or so, right? This is the first wave I didn't fully buy (only got 2) so I'm less excited for it, but I'm definitely curious to see how the mutants turned out. I especially hope Ray Fillet is done well. |

I think that actually means that vendors over purchased… not that Super7 over produced. It’s not like Super7 is pumping these things out to independent vendors trying to offload their overstock. It means vendors thought if they bought them at the asking price and hung on to them for a year when people can no longer pre-order, these were going to be much more valuable. Unfortunately for them, tons of independent vendors all thought the same thing. Now we are seeing a high inventory market with very little demand.
