Are you confused? Are you aware that these customs are supposed to be representations of a specific artist and their own art style? By 'tweaking' little details, you wouldn't be staying true to what the original point of this is. |

First and foremost I am not a professional sculptor. I’m just a fan with a hobby. Two, like grimlock said, these are rendition specific, so I make it from what art I’m able to find on the specific style I’m shooting for. In the Campbell case, he has only illustrated 1 full TMNT issue (so far but hoping for more ), aprox 4 other TMNT covers, and a hand full of other TMNT art. If you compare all of his art (like with most artist) the particular styles change ever so slightly over time. Sometimes (like with the Talbot turtle) there’s so little reference material to go on (mainly because he never did a turtle issue in his current style) that I have to reference their older styles to kind of guesstimate how something looks from various angles. And man, let me just say that trying to translate 2D pictures to 3D figure is a challenge to say the least! I give props to all the pros who do it on a regular basis! I have found that some angles don’t match up with others in a 3D stage. That’s why I made two heads for the Talbot turtle. Its impossible for the same turtle head to resemble the two references I used. The lips/mouth area (especially in profile view) just don’t mesh. With the Lawson turtle I had TONS of good reference material. Jim has been extremely consistent in his rendition of the turtles for the past several years. It was that consistency and amount of reference material that helped me to make it as accurate as I was able to get it. Sure it’s not perfect, none of my figures are, but I’m satisfied with the level of accuracy that I’ve been able to achieve thus far and try to get a little better with each one. That’s part of what makes this project so much fun! I’m learning many new things (about both the artist’s work and customizing techniques) as I go. In other news…I’ve just broken ground on my next rendition! It’s going to be another Leonardo only this time rockin’ a red mask. Though, I don’t believe it will be as popular as the others. It’s a pretty unsuspecting style to choose. The only clue I’ll give is that it is a mirage turtle yet not a mirage turtle all at the same time |

This thing is insanely good as are all your other customs. I've spent the whole morning looking at all your threads that I somehow missed.
I think fan artists are better than many of the pro toy sculptors. Must be the level of passion that goes into it. |

I could go on forever, waxing poetic and writing intense love ballads for that custom right there.
I'm just going to say AWESOME and leave it at that though.

Hmm. My guess is Image Leonardo, who i imagine was written as a continuation of Mirage vol.1 and 2 Leonardo, until things got weird with Peter Laird's retcon. Whatever it is, I am anxious to see.

That'd be a good Leo, a Fosco Leo. Especially with the sword hand cap.

That's what I was thinking. Either that, or an arguably canon or not canon guest rendition. Looking forward to it!

^ not even close you guys .
Lampy- as far as I'm concerned eastman is mirage regardless of when/what he does. That would make for an interesting custom though and surely a very challenging one. |

I see your point. But with all due respect, he IS mirage. Even though the company is owned by laird, eastman was the one who came up with the name
