TMNT: Shell Shocked [The Arcade Game]

TMNT Project:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Shell Shocked [The Arcade Game]

I'm implementing a system based on the original arcade game.
I'm trying to make this system very similar to the original game (adding my feature too) and unifying all '90s TMNT games into one game.

So maybe to solve the problem White Dragon, instead of the Foot soldiers hang-gliding backwards, maybe you could use the helicopter sprites used in the 1st TMNT arcade game (the highway stage)? It could work...

See the video at 13:00:

...But you would have to change the angle of the guns' direction though.

The sky level is the amusing kind of "ridiculous". Leave it the way it is. I never meant to make anyone think it was a problem.

Damn, this looks rad as hell.

I've always wanted someone to do an arcade style version of TMNT III, so this is even better.

I'm drawing the missing graphics to complete the first level.
Then I'll do the foot soldiers and I'll fill the first level of enemies.
Immediately after the first demo will be released!

Thanks guy, for me TMNT III would be the best game if it left for arcade!

Thank you!!

How a lot of people have to request to me, here the combined attack of Rocksteady & Bebop:

VERY HARD WORK!!

To activate this attack, you must stay in the middle (about) between Rocksteady & Bebop.
I calculate the positions availing of a lot of thresholds.
If there are more players than one, I calculate the average of the position (x,z)
Depending on the positions of Rocksteady & Bebop they perform their combined attack.
It can range in horizontal or diagonal...
The flash entity varies depending on if you encounter an simple enemy/player or one of the two bosses!!

Obviously you have the time to run away (as I did to take screenshots) ^__^

As cool as playable enemies are, I think my favorite parts of that video were:

The homage to the theme song sequence Turtle Van launch:

And the homage to the end credits scroll at the end!

(Looks like you even made up an alternate April sprite too!)

Just as Powder said, it's great to see you working on this.

The playable enemies option is a great twist that I wouldn't have thought before. So if a player is one of the enemies, would we expect the final ultimate boss to be in defeating the 4 Turtles altogether? Maybe even Splinter? The possibilities are intriguing here...

I enjoyed the Turtle Van launch too, but I have to ask if the game could have more of a platform action theme (be able to discover and explore certain areas of the city as with the old NES TMNT 1 game) in combination with the side-scrolling beat 'em style we all know and love.
I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm demanding or expecting more from the game, but seeing the new video opened up a lot of ideas.

Thanks for keeping us in touch of your progress! You're really developing this game to incorporate all the cool fighting/agility moves we wished we're in the old games and incorporating a LOT more OT cartoon elements (i.e. the Turtle Van launch, and the ending credits). Your attention to detail is elevating this game to exciting highs!

I was thinking about this just the other day. You should totally start an online donations bucket, just to keep focused and guage how interested people really are to see this project completed.

Great ideas, infact I programmed stairs, platforms (also floating platforms), ladders precisely to write that kind of level and extend the gameplay to a different genre, such as a platform game ^__^

That's sounding great! Now the player can actually investigate into certain areas of the city/buildings where it can create multiple outcomes, unlike the side-scroller beat 'em up style of playing where it forced the player to follow only one path of gameplay. Best wishes in your efforts, I'm certain it's a HUGE undertaking, and it shows with the videos you have displayed.
