I personally would never be capable of eating turtle soup. I'd feel like I'd be eating the TMNT. Is this silly?

Nah.

I don't think I'd feel like it was them, but I wouldn't be able to stop thinking this is what they might taste like, at least as soup.

Noooo no thanks. I don't even want to know. Plus the emotional/mental cannibalism element since they're people, albeit fictional. (Honestly, no reptile sounds appealing to me to eat...)

I'll gladly leave the turtle soup to the big time Shredder fans.

Side note, I have a cousin who was the same way with not eating pork because of Porky Pig. Granted he was a kid, but still.

Funny thing is, the turtle soup line is so iconic yet we never see Shredder eat it once across any incarnation

Guess Burne did have a thing for turtle soup, even if it was just a mock.

Shredder could've done more than blow up the Channel Six building. I don't mean as far as murdering Splinter, but think of the possibilities if censors were not an issue.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Wait a minute, "Turtle Soup" is actually real, like something you can order in real life? I just assumed that was something made up for the show. Nobody in real life actually eats Turtles.

Yup... I didn't look farther than Google itself, but at least from the first page of results it suggested a turtle soup and a stew... or would you like some fried turtle nuggets?

Spoiler:
Although for the rest of us I offer Mayfield Turtle Tracks (ice cream) Tiramisu

Also, I saw this...

https://www.history.com/news/hungry-...of-turtle-soup

Quote:
A large snapping turtle is said to contain seven distinct types of meat, each reminiscent of pork, chicken, beef, shrimp, veal, fish or goat.
So 'Rise' Raph will have plenty to offer if he's ever eaten.

Yes, very silly. Does nostalgia for Donald Duck prevent you from eating duck?

Turtle soup sounds pretty disgusting to me. Then again eating frog legs, monkey brains, crickets, shark fins, and octopus sound disgusting to me too....because I don't eat exotic food. I don't know why humans try to eat every animal on the planet.

Some animals are not meant to be eaten by man, but people do it anyway. In some Asian countries they even eat dogs and cats, which is pretty repulsive.

Hey, don't knock it until you've tried it. Octopus is actually pretty amazing.

I don't love Donald and Daffy as much as I love the Turtles. Plus, eating duck where I live isn't exactly considered odd, while eating turtles is something I never hear someone doing.

Keeping them as pets is what keeps me from trying turtle soup.
Well that, and knowing what turtles eat. I try not to make a habit of eating predators.

What happens if animals eat other animals and then humans eat the animals who eat other animals.

I never felt like getting one as a pet. Then again, I'm the type the person who thinks any animals aside from dog and cats would make rather boring pets.

Then humans get an extra dose of what ever toxins the predator may have had in their system from eating other animals.

For example: Some tuna and swordfish have a high levels of mercury.

I wonder how many stray cats end up getting indirectly poisoned from eating mice.

Or worse, if you lived long ago and a wolf ate one or your tribesmen and then your tribe soon after killed and ate that wolf.
