TMNT Comic Release Dates

Just to clarify TLR Design Archive #1 is a full behind the scenes look at issues 2 and 3 of the miniseries much like a director's cut but without reprinting the actual issues. Presumably there will also be a #2 which will cover issues 4 and 5 later down the line.

Minor update: Issue #120 has been pushed back to August 25th, possibly deliberately for the series 10th anniversary as that will be exactly 10 years and 1 day since the release of issue #1.
Also TLR4 has been bumped to September 22nd and the TLR Design Archive has been delayed until November; all other dates are unchanged but I'll provide the full schedule for AUG-SEP-OCT at the end of the month/ next week.

I just bought IDW HC vol 13. For the first time, I see nothing about the next volume (14). I order them on Amazon and usually we always see the front cover and the release date a few months before.

But this time, nothing.

Bobby Curnow confirmed back in March that the hardcover collections will be continuing but possibly under a slightly different name like the current tpb volumes or the phase 2/3 Transformer HC volumes.
The paperback version of Volume 1 releasing in December was also revealed around the same time so presumably those volumes if they continue will take up the winter release slot and we usually find out the summer release around September to November so we should hopefully be seeing something in the coming weeks.

So I flipped through the issue yesterday and the contents are:
Mirage v.1 #2 (IDW Color Classics style)
IDW Micro-Series #7: April O'Neil
IDW #118

Eh... I'd hardly call that the "Best of April" or even "Best or Arpil," considering what they had the rights to choose from.

I suppose the Mirage 1st appearance and Micro-Series are shoo-ins for this type of compilation, but reprinting 118 not even one year after its original publication is puzzling, plus the issue doesn't have April do anything particularly interesting other than get WRECKED by the mutant eels and end on a cliff-hanger that still hasn't paid off in the ongoing.

Potentially better picks that could have been used for the 3rd sample:

April O'Neil #1, Archie 1993 (Probably requires a lot of prior reading in the Archie series to fully appreciate, but I think it's historically significant enough for April's development to include here)

"The Angel of Times Square" (backup stories from TMNT Adventures #62-66... probably considered "hard to find" these days, so a real hook for the reprint)

April O'Neil back-up stories from TMNT Adventures #24-27 (Ends on a cliffhanger for follow-up stories that not even IDW is willing to reprint, but it works fine for what it is; I think one of Archie's TMNT Classics Digest volumes collected them all as a sequence)

TMNT Adventures #27 (solid, one-off story that doesn't let April do a whole lot, but is still a better showcase than IDW #118 ).

April O'Neil: The May East Saga #1 (the wildest possible candidate but that's part of the appeal)

Tales of the TMNT volume 2, #27 (Somehow, this is the issue I assumed they'd use, even though there's some prior required necessary to understand the plot's tension)

Mirage volume 4, #22 (super-controversial, by why not?)

Yeah, I thought that too...I was hoping for more stuff not IDW.
