Teenage Mutant Punk Frogs

I love the Punk Frogs and wish the quartet had time to shine as a backup team in the 1987 cartoon. I did not care much for the Napoleon focused one episode in the 2012 cartoon. This does not look promising. I remember the Punk Frogs were mentioned as one of the factions of Mutant Town and hoped we would not see them make a proper debut due to my lack of faith in the current creative team's direction. I want them as close as possible to the 1987 cartoon and given more character development. There are more than four and I know this is not a promising time to debut any beloved character(s) in the TMNT franchise. Seeing that the run did not end at #123 allowed for this reference in an early issue to come to fruition.

That cover is pretty cool. As someone who isn't invested in the ongoing, this sort of interests me. Could make for a cool few issues.

Wouldn't be surprised if Punk Frogs are allowed to kill and this allows Sophie to let loose for a few issues. That's "shoot-from-the-hip" speculation.

Also didn't we see some form of the Punk Frogs in the Ghostbusters crossover or one of the Toad Baron issues already?

Yeah, it was in the second Ghostbusters crossover, Leo and Winston fought with them at the end of issue #3 but there was only four of them then.

The Turtles have been guests in their book since issue 101, we just didn't have "mutant furries porn town" defacing the title for the last 21 issues...

I have zero faith in the current creative team & I'm 100% sure whatever/wherever this goes, it will suck completely.

"Zetian"? Good lord, those dumb, "edgy" made-up names that probably came from some online fantasy name generator... Why not something like Caesar, Boudicca, Timur and Joan? I know it's on-the-nose, but so are the originals and at least this way the naming convention is kept.

Of course, for that to work we'd have to be dealing with someone whose foremost design isn't crapping all over TMNT. Oy...

You may be splitting hairs on the names. Zetian is a pretty cool name.
