2007 for you.

A bit early for a reflection-of-the-year thread, but I want to post this right now before I forget about it...

Just post the highlights and lowlights of the year in here. Technodrome related, real life related, whatever you like. I think it's cool to look back on the year and see how far everyone come.

For my highlights, I've passed through Grade 11 with great marks, seen my artwork improve dramatically, and have seen my personality grow and change quite a bit. I've also made many new friends, both online and offline, and considering how I hardly had a social life due to school, that's quite an achievement for me.

Lowlights...erm...having several mental break downs due to too much work at school...getting sick more so than usual this year...seeing how the human race is slowly but surely spiraling down into the well of idiotic ideals, and therefore paving the way to a very bleak and unsure future...annnd...I think that's about it for me.

*wanders off to go Christmas shopping*

I got a very decent job.

Oh, and I regained my eyesight in one of my eyes and I don't have to wear glasses anymore.

And I met a great girl *winkwinknudgenudge*

The rest was rather ordinary, if not crappy at times.

Internet dating doesn't count.

Anyways, 07 BLEW for me, both personally and professionally, but the games were awesome, so it's been a very bitter sweet year. I actually think if there hadn't been so many great games to take my mind off of the complete sh*t storm that has been my life over the past year, I may have sunk so far into depression that I'd have just imploded and ceased to exist. The last couple months have been fantastic, though. Life is good and all that nonsense!

Now, I must go snoop like a 9-year-old through my parents closet.

this was definitely a better year than last

no accidents....no wounds...no surgery....*sigh of relief*

Had some stress, mergers...new bosses....new computer system at work....new jobs, all of which made me a bit tired and cranky and mental breakdown-y

Lost a few good friends, which always leaves me wondering what I did, but life goes on eventually.

Still have someone I care deeply about and who makes my heart sing every time I think of him and every year that passes with that feeling in your heart is a good one

I grew many veggies, ate some pizza, watched a movie or two.....enured, survived, thrived, loved, laughed, cried, and in the end, I'm smiling

Guess I'm out, too.

'07 wasn't bad. Not great, either. A rollercoaster of school-related stress and having practically no money for the whole year. I haven't been able to play games this year. It really sucks. I'm trying to catch up, though. Hopefully '08 will be better both academically and financially.

'07 was a kickass year for both movies and games. Since they're both things I love, it was a great year for me.

High of 2007: Going to Scotland
Low of 2007: Going to Scotland, because eventually I had to come back home to my quiet, boring, unassuming life here in the States.

Also got a new job with better pay, but it's so monotonous and unimaginative that I'm not sure the money's really worth it.

I think that's it.

Just go to the Cafe and read his complaining about how much he hates people that have more friends than him.

Me too. But when people who are supposedly adults (such as the one whose post I had to delete) join in and act just as immature, it sure doesn't help the situation...

No, but it does make it amusing for those of us that have to keep listening to the kids.

Hmm, 2007... it's been a so-so year, but good in general.

Highs: Well, I moved into my new job with AT&T, and am very optimistic about working my way up into the company. The two dollar an hour raise was a nice touch... I also finally got my diploma hanging up on my wall. Not much more than a glorified piece of paper, but it should help me in life...

Plus I'm happy to be able to be back here and chat with friends again (almost two years feels like an eternity..)

Lows: Leaving my last job... I'd been there for five years, and couldn't get anywhere. Leaving my long time customers' that I'd gotten to know so well was the hardest of all..

In all, it's been an ok year.

2007 was a good year for action movies. At least for me.

My brother proposed to his girlfriend, and they'll be married next year. Oh and they're moving into a new apartment and I get to help. FUN! -___-

I've been told to apply for a job at the new Harris Teeter. Still wondering who's gonna drive me as I still don't have a license.

Found my old NES! Bad news is that the power cord is missing. F*ck!

Made tons of new friends in Theatre Arts class. They're my kind of weirdos and I love 'em.

I had two seizures, both happened last week. I'm contemplating on seeing a neurologist to find out if these are just stress related or not.

hmmm...

It saw the best and worst of school. Bad freshman year. Not very good grades and I hated my dorm. This fall my grades were great and I'm in an apartment with 3 of my good friends and it's been a blast.

I had an awesome summer job where I rolled in the dough. I bought my first car and I got a 42" HDTV.

Great year of movies and an even better year of games.

It's really been a great second half of 2007.

lesse...
we got Aerocoach off the ground with two brand new buses that I broke in.
Got to be featured on Fanatical.
Had 5 hatchling wood turtles; all are doing well.
acquired a spotted turtle, in trade for 2 of said hatchlings. bought a reeves turtle
got my 02 Vue destroyed only to get a NICE payoff for my 07 Saturn Vue
gained many more build-a-bear plushies

i think the most important event of the year and results is I'm just happy we got thru a hard time a few months ago concerning my son.

I really can't complain too much about 2007. Although I once again failed to attain the one thing I want more than anything else... *sigh*

Highlights:
Attending the TMNT premiere in Hollywood & seeing/meeting Kevin E., Kevin M., and some of the voice actors.
Comic Con was good to me; meeting Noel Clark was probably my highlight (totally not influenced by him flirting with me, really... I swear! Or maybe completely... )
I got to go to Chicago for work (i.e. free).
Last Harry Potter book! Hurrah!!

Less Than Highlights:
I completely destroyed my ankle while hiking in July and it's still not healed... I don't expect it ever will be completely.
I was deathly ill for the entire time I was in Chicago.
Newest Harry Potter movie, I still can't like you! Rats!

Probably some other things I'm forgetting... in general, lots of happy/fun times with friends and lots of frustration/agony at work.
