We've seen the origin story in film only twice and it was different each time.

And truth be told, it was just brief flashbacks in the 1990 film. They could even explore more of the Saki/Yoshi backstory in a new film. It would be a nice course correction once a reboot happens.

No more origin story... This is like Spiderman origins all over again.

Do it like Spiderman Homecoming, just move on with new story.

No, it's nothing like that. We haven't had a TMNT origin in almost 30 years.

I'll be honest, the thing I like least about TMNT is their origin story. Regardless of the incarnation. I hope we never see another origin story again in any form.

Why is that? What makes you dislike their origin?

I still think it would be cool to see the IDW origin on the big screen

I just think whatever origin you go with, it always seems too convoluted and far fetched for me. I know thats a little silly to say about a series about walking, talking martial artist turtles but it's just how I feel. I love all the stories that take place immediately after, but their origin tale itself just seems like a mess of ideas that barely string together to make it work. Just my two cents, of course.
