Matters haven't died down that much here in regards to Ukraine, maybe less priority compared to the goings on between Hamas/Israel/Iran and now that an election has been called, but news articles still appear.

There are different estimates I've read about Russian casualties to date from various departments and Western analysers, but all of them are over 400k with approximately 3000+ tanks destroyed. In a way they are still treating it like WW2, keep throwing meatbags into the fray until you eventually win, regardless of the losses (pyrrhic victory?).

That's already been happening given the widening on the mandatory conscription ages, and literally janking thousands of prisoners out of jail promising them a pardon if they fight.

Putin's death probably.

Watched an interesting three-part documentary on the BBC about 80s cold war spying and how MI6 had a top level Russian colonel feeding them information as a double agent while in London. When the KGB twigged and tried to arrest him when they asked for him to return to Russia, he escaped through Finland with our help. Apparently the UK government gave Russia a two week deadline to let his family join him here otherwise they'd publicise the defection. Russia didn't respond, so it went on the media. A lot of KGB heads rolled as a result.

Where am I going with this? A lot of colleagues and friends of one younger staff member named Vladimir Putin were axed in this purge, and many theorise this is part inspiration for his utter hardline in treating "betrayal" and "turning your back on your country" since.

Too little, too late. But that's by design, to provoke Russia into attacking when Ukraine is already worn down and bursting at the seams.

Ukraine is held at gunpoint by Russia, which in turn is held at gunpoint at NATO.

Ukraine's new incursion into Russia was so awesome. First time that that Russian territory is under occupation since 1944, Lets go!

Is it gonna end badly with the Russian response? Probably, but a victory is a victory.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.
