Who needs a bullet proof vest?
DETROIT - The metal underwire in a Detroit woman's bra was credited with deflecting a bullet fired at her during a break-in at a neighbor's home. Detroit police Officer Leon Rahmaan said the 57-year-old woman apparently looked out her window Tuesday when one of three men fired the shot. He said the slug smashed through her window pane before hitting the bra's underwire. It did not penetrate her skin. Police said she may have gone to the window after a burglar alarm at the house next door sounded. Her neighbor was not at home at the time. The suspects drove away after the shooting. ------------------------------------------------------------- I know it was kinda old, but I just found that pretty funny. I'll never underestimate the power of an underwire again! |

Here's one that was in the London Free Press.
11/06/2009 09:33 AM Police Get Wrong Teletubby Ontario: Police in London responding to an armed robbery call early in the morning after Halloween night encountered a bizarre turn of events when their search for a robbery suspect in a Teletubby costume seemed like a done deal. It was shortly after midnight when the victim, who is in her 20s, gave the gun-toting Teletubby all of her money. Police soon stopped and questioned someone dressed as a Teletubby in the area, but then learned that their Teletubby was the wrong one. The description given by the woman was for a clean shaven Teletubby with a muscular build and 200 to 240 pounds; short, dark hair with a height ranging between 6'2" and 6'4". |

Small Town Superhero
Heard this on the news. In Tennessee, there's a guy sporting a superhero outfit, protecting justice in a small town. Unfortunately, the cops arrested him for doing their duty.

I bet it has something to do with the Anti-Vigilantism law or article... but that is kinda cool... the whole costumed Vigilante thing.

Ok it IS a stupid thing to do, but it's kinda cool to read about "superheroes" in the real world.

I could imagine if there's an Ex-Cel or Rebel Boy (another fanfic) in the real world. Not only their vigilante would be dissed, but also their music.

How do you know that? Maybe people would like their music.
Just heard about this on the news yesterday as well. Apparently, this guy just wants to do the right thing, though people have told him to leave it to the police.

Thanks for the kind comment. You made my day. Ex-Cel would make it in jazz (vocals/guitar/vibes/tympani) while Rebel Boy would rock on the guitar & sing.

I don't even think that because anybody thinking it's cool would only inspire some other insane person to go out there and try to be a super hero. It doesn't help anyone in the real world.

Well, some people like to hate on anything simply because it's popular, so you're probably right.

I do agree that while this guy's intentions are for good, he should leave it to the police because he could seriously get hurt.
