Some ruckus in the Norwegian Newspapers, after a school denied students during a holiday celebration to wear the classic Nisse hat, or the Santa hat as most probably will know it.
This was done to be more including with multi-cultural and people with a different religion, which beg to the big question... When did the Santa hat become religious item, or is there an Santa Clause religion I have missed? Jokes aside, the principal of that school have been hounded in the newspapers since that particular hat, red long hat with white trim and white dot on is a very iconic head dress for Norwegians, not just Christmas related. So in the newspapers there been several Muslims wearing the Santa hat telling in interviews that it's nothing wrong with the hat, and should be included in a Yule/Winter/Christmas/whateveryoucallit celebration. After all, removing classic traditions is not a very good way of including people or integrating them into a new culture in their new home land. |

Well. St. Nicholas IS a religious figure for many and in NY there's the Church of St. Nicholas...but come on. It's just a hat!

True, Santa do have strong ties to St. Nick. But here in Norway he is a lot more akin to the Farmer mythical creature Nisse (or Tomte in Swedish) to the point that the Norwegian name of Santa Clause is Yule Nisse, and many still in tradition sets out porridge and beer for Santa, at least those who have a farm.

The Norwegian Child- & Equality minister Audun Lysbakken have been pouring out money to his party the Socialistic Left Wing party's Socialistic Youth group and their defense class for girls.
These moneys have been given under the table, and went to the self-defence classes for girls, which had a requirement to join the political group making it a program to add more members to the party. right now theres a committee that will investigate the corruption and Lysbakken have been filed to the police by a member of the Left wing party. The minister have also broken several rules of the Parliament of Norway. I personally hope this is the end of his political career, not only is he a horrible minister but this is not acceptable and is no doubt corruption. Not to mention self-defense classes for women are total bull and gives false sense of control. If women who are afraid to go at nights want to learn to defend their self they should join a real martial arts club and be taught by actual professionals. The weird thing is, Lysbakken will probably not be fired according to the Prime Minister |

All Tide Up
MINNESOTA: I've heard of diamonds being hot or even furniture/appliances being smuggled. A man shoplifted Tide deterget to sell for black market. Laundry detergemt, ridiculous! Guess he was felling Bold hoping to Gain some sales & gave it his All. I prefer Oxydol myself. What's his next heist, Downy fabric softerner? Last edited by Guitar_Raph; 07-05-2012 at 08:44 PM. |

A stray kitten got stuck in the bummer of a car and somehow got away uninjured. A bonus ot add to the randomness the host is Phil Lamarr, best known as John Stewart's voice actor. I recognized him from the Justice League commentary/features on the DVDs.

Baywatch, It Ain't!
FLORIDA: A lifeguard rescues a drowning man on the beach. Then he gets fired by the heads because he left the territory! The other lifeguards were shocked, they walked off & quit as well. They offered him his job back, but declined! What next? A Boy/Girl Scout being drummed out because they wandered off their camp to save someone's life. |
