Any ideas who'll become the president this time? I'm pretty sure Biden essentially got the job because he wasn't Trump, he seems a bit of a hard sell on his own.

Before I was saying there was no chance of Trump winning, because it's not like he's won over any new independents since 2020... the opposite, if anything. What I'm hearing more and more anecdotally, though, and what gives a little bit of hope, is a lot of Biden voters who are saying they're not going to change their vote and vote for Trump, of course, but they're just not going to vote at all in 2024.

I'm sure part of it is Trump fanboy-ism but it seems every time he gets indicted or sent to court or whatever else, his followers are expecting an epic backfire and I keep hearing phrases like 'WTF LMAO ARE THEY PURPOSELY TRYING TO HAND HIM THE ELECTION?'

Not sure if there's a nugget of truth in there somewhere, but he has seem to be gaining some new people with the 'constantly being persecuted' angle the left just won't give up on.

That helps him cinch the nomination, not with voters. The "they're after me! I'm a victim!" isn't going to help him, even if it's true. Trump needs to get back to all the "I'm fighting for YOU!" stuff from 2016.

Its been a staple of politics for a long while for sections of the population to vote against someone rather then for someone, and I think that this is probably going to be one of the worst "not him" elections in history.

You have an ancient dementia patient as the incumbent. I don't know who the republicans could run but if its Trump again...I don't even know. Trump really needs to step aside and let someone else run on the republican side.

DeSantis had a chance at beating Trump, but then he had to post that AI photo of Trump hugging Fauci. If he had instead hired an artist to draw a political cartoon of Trump hugging Fauci, that’d be different, because AI is meant to look so realistic to the point that you can’t even tell that it’s fake, so Trump supporters or Trump’s critics would look at that photo and think that Trump really did that. That’s pretty deceptive and it made a lot of people ditch DeSantis in favor of Trump.

I was for the short time the vaccine restrictions got out of control. He stood firm against them and even offered work for any officer fired in Cali over not getting the worthless thing.

But after that though, he pretty much went off the rails.

Vivek Ramaswamy is starting to look like a smart choice on the R side. DeSantis is a buffoon. Pence is not even remotely a contender. Their party really needs to move past trump and get some new energy. People should start looking into Vivek.

Trump is a con man, a crooked business man. America deserves better.

The comedy act should be more entertainment then it’s ever been in past elections. Assuming Trump gets the nomination and can run from prison if or when he finally goes to prison, the clowns will be in full force. Whoever wins the Presidentacy will be f**ked from the get go given how badly in shape the “Good Ole U..S..of..A” is lately

The funniest posts are the Canadians calling Trump racists while there pm literally has done black face multiple times. Oh how about we look at him trying to tell Islamic citizens that they're being brainwashed by far right Americans.

I'd probably fit that bill. He fights for key issues well, does so in a way that doesn't stir up a hornets nest culturally, is a good enough speaker, and gets results. Though I'm sure he'd become the media Devil soon enough if he nabbed the nomination but at least it wouldn't be this built in thing, vs. with Trump where if you even say his name at the wrong dinner table faces will turn red with overfilling anger.

Vivek is fine, too. I wouldn't be upset if he was the nominee, either.

The fly landing on Pence’s head during the 2020 debates has become symbolic of his character.

Not happening.

America thought they were getting better by getting rid of Trump, but that sure backfired, badly. Look how bad things have gotten all over the world since he left office. Alot of politicians on both sides are con men/ crooked business men, that’s how their net worth goes way up and they become millionaires/billionaires as public servants. Even the current guy has more shady business dealings in other countries.

At least Trump did put America first. His business experience led to a great economy. He don’t need money laundering and scams like most lying backstabbing crooked politicians. He got his own money. Trump is upfront and delivers as promised vs the Biden admin virtue signaling and lying about things like “student loan forgiveness” and “reparations” to get more votes.

The scariest thing coming out of the Biden admin now is their new 2024 campaign slogan, “let’s finish the job”. America may not recover from another 4 years under the Biden admin.

I don't normally support mega monolithic businesses, but I'm with Disney over DeSantis about what happened in Florida. That's gonna be a shadow over his campaign surely.

You're with Disney on their pressuring DeSantis to ease up on signing a bill telling schools not to teach sexual orientation and gender identity to K-3rd graders? Or do you mean you think they should keep their special land/tax privileges in Florida that DeSantis is trying to yank away as a result?
