Well, I don't do the sentencing, I don't know if there are specific guidelines or laws about what can or can't be done in this situation. Entirely possible the judge could not imprison him. I have no idea. As I noted, I suspect the fact he was himself a minor at the time (who tend to have different sentencing guidelines to adults) may have be a factor.

It turns out when you let your government make "hate speech" illegal, which gives them the ability to make *any* speech they don't like illegal it doesn't turn out well.
