Sven-Göran Eriksson has passed away

Swedish former soccer player and coach Sven-Göran Eriksson passed away today, Monday, aged 76 and suffering from cancer. After giving up his player career following a 1975 knee injury, he became a succesful coach starting in 1977.

He started coaching IFK Göteborg in 1979. With IFK Göteborg, he won the 1981–1982 UEFA Cup, before continuing, later coaching teams like SL Benfica in Portugal and AS Roma, ACF Fiorentina, UC Sampdoria and SS Lazio in Italy. Between February 2001 and July 2006, he coached Team England.

Perhaps, but that doesn't invalidate my statement. You can be a legend of 2 or even 3 different clubs.

And most Benfica fans would consider Eriksson a legend of our club and he always kept Benfica close to his heart.

His six years managing England were... not dull I am going to say. Highs and lows. He also managed my team, Leicester City, along the way. I was actually watching the documentary on him on Prime just the night before he passed.
