Salvatore Schillaci has passed away

Italian former soccer player Salvatore Schillaci passed away today, aged 59 and suffering from cancer. He was born on 1 December 1964 in Palermo, Italy and played as a striker for Juventus FC and FC Internazionale Milano.

With Team Italy, he won a bronze medal during the FIFA World Cup when the tournament was played in Italy in June and July 1990 and also became the tournament topscorer by scoring 6 goals (I know, there weren't many goals scored in this tournament but it still made him a legend). The bronze medal game saw Salvatore Schillaci scoring the final goal on a penalty kick when Team Italy defeated Team England, 2–1.
