Jeremy Clarkson got suspended

New Top Gear episodes won't be broadcast.
There goes my Sunday-evening enjoyment.

Friends of mine were betting it was his being a racist that did it, others said it was his sexism.

Curious who had the money on it being Assault and Battery.

He took a swing at his producer was the last I heard. Weather or not he actually hit him has yet to be confirmed...

There is no Top Gear without Clarkson. He is Top Gear.

No! I loved this show with him!

There is no Top Gear without Jeremys funny comments, James facts and Hammonds enthusiasm! They have to work together!

Oh and not forget Jeremys funny "facts" about the Stig

Also, if Jeremy goes, the show goes with him.

It's a real shame that a man with a history of offensive & racist behaviour was sacked for assaulting a coworker. Is there no justice in the world?

Are you really implying that I'm excusing his behaviour?
I'm just sad about how Top Gear will never be the same again.

They'll hire someone else just as good. I personally wasn't a fan of him, but that was due to his mass insulting of people's political beliefs, mostly my own. Stating that people working in the public service sector should be executed in front of their families was pretty harsh too. I like the show when I catch it on the odd occasion, but it's not Clarkson that does it for me. Get a new host and it'll be just as funny, they just need to have the right kind of humour.

I think it is going to be a difficult road ahead for the BBC to duplicate the chemistry of the 3 men on that show. I do have to partially fault the BBC for letting Clarkson get away with some of the things he has said on air over the years. Once it went on for so long I think Clarkson got the idea he could do whatever he wanted and it went too far this time. It's really a bit of a shame for everyone involved with that show.

No, not at all, and it wasn't meant as an attack on (or reply to) anyone in this thread. Sorry if it came across that way.

I just think that it's funny that so many people are getting their knickers in a twist over Jezza's sacking, what with the petitions and whatnot - hell, even the PM got involved (which probably says more about the sorry state of our government), whereas if a "normal" person (ie non-celebrity) had behaved in the same way no one would bat an eyelid at a mere sacking.

And I say that as a huge fan of both Top Gear (I've been watching it since pre-Clarkson days) and of Clarkson himself. I was lucky enough to be in the audience at TG and have met Jezza many times, both in a professional and social capacity, and never found him to be anything other than thoughtful, courteous and gentlemanly (in fact, the complete opposite of what I was expecting). Hammond, on the other hand, is a little prick - but that's an entirely different story...

I never got into this show, but I'm glad they got rid of him after what he did. I'm sure they'll have to replace him at some point unless the other two decide they can't go on without him.

Richard Hammond has pulled out of Top Gear out of loyalty to his buddies. Meaning noone from the current crop of presenters will be returning to front the show.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...n-Hammond.html

Any chance TG's rival Fifth Gear could maybe snatch them up?

Being patriot is not a rewarding thing this days.
Especially, if you target media darlings, who by all accounts no better than assholes they are barking at.

It's not so much targetting Megan, but the nature of the words he used.
