Yeah, it’s getting weird how silent this line has gotten. I really want to see their 2k3 Shredder in full - an articulated version of that version has been on my shortlist of wants since 2003 debuted!

Also, y’all realize a lot of these interviews are PR and not investigative reporting, right? It’s just more marketing under the guise of “news.” If you don’t play the game, your access gets cut off.

Amazon has started getting Wave 12 in stock too, I’m hoping to snag a couple more battle damaged Foot Soldiers when they get discounted.

Got my Rat King today. Between him and Triceraton, I've either gotten incredibly lucky or their QC has improved exponentially.

To the figure itself, it's interesting that they were allowed to copy the vintage figure's design, but not its accessories. The cat belt doesn't really bother me cause that thing got lost almost immediately when we were kids, but I do wish he had the crossbow.

I'm not sure what happened during the redesign process, but he does feel a bit like two figures imperfectly merged into one. Specifically, his torso and arms feel about in scale with the rest of the line, but then his pelvis and legs are freakishly long. This leads to his upper body being in scale with the other human figures, but then standing just slightly shorter than Rocksteady, Bebop or Triceraton.

Overall, I don't think he displays as nicely as Triceraton, but he's still a huge improvement over earlier figures and I'm encouraged by the seeming turnaround with the QC.

I think you're spot on with the merging of 2 figures bit, they probably had to combine the slimmer aesthetic of the 'sexy' rodent man persona (as he has a slimmer alt head) and the bulkier head and look of the vintage. It's both jarring visually and somewhat apt (as Rat King has always been super tall or lanky in the lore, comics and toon).

If this line would of ended with General Traag, I would be 100% content...not saying I wouldn't of liked a few others too

It be funny if they make Granitor instead and say 'sorry playmates didn't give us permission to General Traag'

I do feel that Traag, Napolean, Heavy Metal Raph, Chrome Dome and Usagi would make for a good final wave.

I find it rather concerning, myself, but this is also, unquestionably, their most successful line, so it's hard to imagine this one being in jeopardy. But in light of so many other Super7 lines getting cancelled, it can't be ruled out, either...

One of the biggest problems collector's are going to face is the ongoing price increasing for everything. I think people are tired of paying $55-65 for an action figure, while there is too much product to collect at high prices to begin with. There has to be a breaking point.

Traag, Napolean, Heavy Metal Raph, Undercover Don & Fugitoid would do it for me. It wraps up 88-90.

I've come to accept we aren't getting Usagi given the whole rights situation.

Right! This one hurts the most for me as Playmates Usagi was one of my most treasured figures in my youth. I was so looking forward to seeing what S7 would release.

Super7 have the rights to Usagi, or they did at one point... according to Brian.

I had thought it was the Netflix Samurai Rabbit show that put Super7's Usagi figure on hold. And that show is done now (and unlikely to return for any more seasons), so he should be right to go.

Unless I've missed something.

I've heard something very similar.

But then again, Brian tends to get confused a lot.

At one time, he thought Super7 owned the Silver Hawks IP!

Does anyone know if the Nomad Leo's heads and hats can be swapped? I like the head chewing on the straw, but much prefer the straw hat to the garbage can lid.

I get why it's included, but I was never really into the Playmates aesthetic.

I have not opened mine yet but I just watched a review and no, the hats cannot be swapped.

Was just about to say the same... and it makes zero sense as Super 7 has already shown that they can make accessory clothing, like hats, helmets and sunglasses.

Super7 Shredder 2025

Anyone know what inspired this upcoming Shredder figure from Super7 and what line it will be from? Doesn't seem like 2K3 but it is rather toon influenced....

On second thought, the sword design appears to be from 2K3:

Yeah, he was originally teased at SDCC as part of 2k3 wave 2, along with a Foot Soldier, Splinter and Casey Jones.

It's shredder from Wave 2 2K3 TMNT. These were shown off last year in silhouettes with also Casey, Splinter, and Foot.

The TMNT Classics line has been put on hold and they even have figures sculpted and ready to go, but Playmates are being bastards.

1. I can’t wait to get that Sword of Tengu.

2. Hand has that gray-purple tint, that means show version, not toy version. Thank god.
