So many f*cking lab techs rock khakis and purple belly shirts, too. I did lab moves for everyplace from Loreal to Proctor & Gamble to Bristol Meyers Squibb, met a billion scientists and I gotta tell ya, that was like the standard uniform, totally.

Frankly, if people want April to be a lab tech so badly, she needs to be a short, pudgy balding middle-aged guy OR a chick from India. That's who works in science labs in the NYC area. You might find a 20-something sexy redhead working in a lab but you've got better odds of finding a straight guy working on Broadway.

OH, or Chinese. Lot of 'em are Chinese.

I mean, if I had to judge the US demographics by TV shows and movies, I'd assume that at least half of your population was Jewish. In reality its probably like 3% or something. Maybe 30% in New York City, I dunno.

...now someone is totally going to point out that it's strange there are no Jewish characters in TMNT despite them living in NYC, aren't they?

He's a great guy but he's the exception that proves the rule, if anything.

I never said they don't exist just saying they apparently don't take many jobs in the NY/NJ area. Neil is from The Bronx but he made his career elsewhere.

Way higher than 3% though. Like they have little segregated "communities" so the data gets skewed based on where you go but yeah there's tons of Jewish people. I don't have the numbers but like in NJ for example if you drive through Edison at a certain time of day you'll pass a ton of the ones who wear black wool coats and hats even in 100+ degree weather.

Some places have a ton and some have hardly any, because so many of them tend to cluster. But the overall number is reasonably high, that much I'm pretty sure of. Probably not half but there's a lot.

It gets even harder if you wanna parse it between "Ethnically Jewish" and "Practicing Jewish", because a lot of Jewish people don't actually believe in God and they practice a much more loose version of their faith based as much upon tradition and heritage as anything else. And some don't practice anything but are still "Ethnically Jewish".

So yeah, not very cut-and-dry!
